Nope, we both got eliminated in the round of 16. He went 1-0 down, levelled up with a golden break and then lost to a golden break. I plain lost 2-0. Our conquerors med in the quarter-final. Ah well!

Dear Fellow Poolers,

Now I may not know if Onua0767 is the greatest player ever but I do know that his game play is certainly admirable. There is a fine line between good and great that separates us average players (or perhaps in my case below average).

To be honest, I feel that Onua0767 has stepped over that line and distinguished himself to a level of achievement where comments such as ste_efc's come off as downright disrespectful to me. Of course, everyone has the right to their opinion and we can always agree to disagree.

Keep up the good work, Adam. :) I feel that the lot of us would rather commend you (rather than condemn you) on your great efforts with much appreciation!

Onua is a great player no doubt, and imo the best uk player ever. He is as smart as how good he can pot (thats good btw ).

But I dont think he is the best player here.

(hopefully can prove me wrong)

In my opinion we cant both be the best!

But on a serious note, all you have to do is look at the overall rankings, is he the best on them?

To be fair, do you reckon if the "old" players got back playing properly like Paguylan, Lars, Ediss, Afey etc etc etc that onua would be number 1?


Don't get me wrong his an amazing player and has proved himself but carl aka allornothing aint too far neither is _niall_

onua0767 is what i would say is a fantastic player but i wouldn't say the best because i would say bastilha is the best player ever

bastilha is the best but i dont think its fair for a thread just for him.

onua0767 is certainly the dude i would relish to play! I fancy my chances against him, actually i think he would be lucky to rack up a frame!

He isn't that good, he only reached that high rank because of playing low ranked players. Bastilha is better overall.

To all, please remember to keep things civil. People who are near the top of the rankings are there through merit, and there is no advantage deliberately targetting lesser ranked players to gain points.

I thought Carl's AKA Allornothing ranking was amazing but until Onua came along I just couldn't believe how good he was and knocked Carl off of top which is a shame but he had his fair share! So I would like to say Well done to Carl for that great effort its increadable that someone has over taken him so well done done to onua! and good luck.

Yeah but Ste, I don't even remember him playing a 700 (not from my knowledge). I think it's a bit stupid when people just play lower players so they can get a high rank. Yeah he might of got 960+, but would he have really got it playing someone worthy of a challenge? Ste, at least when you got your rank on snooker, you play 800s-900s when you could. That is what I did as well, and it can be done.

600's is taking the mik but i highly doubt he played all 600's.. in my eyes 960 plus is a fantastic achievement who ever you play! It's not like snooker, in pool you can lose a lot easier. So just give the dude credit Lyle!!!
