Also, he plays UK and he's good at it, however, hes not the best overall player. So in my opinion, he can't be the best ever player until he's better overall.

Having that rank? Yes, he's got the highest rank out of anyone ever... thats what suggests he is the best. I'm not specifically saying he is but having a rank like that proves something.

And don't be silly... I'm not 'basically saying' anything about cheaters.

Also, I wasn't talking about overall... I don't take much notice of the US games... Seems like that Portuguese geezer is the best overall.

Interesting point... Therefore, look at his record in tournaments, where he has no control over who his opponent is. He routinely vanquishes all comers. Often, his gameplan is exposed and he is ambushed, and occasionally he'll be ridden by bad luck, like that tournament where he potted the black and the white off the break. But he comes back and storms to a few more victories.

when someone creates threads claiming someone is the greatest or best ever you will always get someone that disagrees, we are all entitled to have an opinion, adam is a great uk player, I rate people on tournament wins and you can't argue with adams record, I would say his uk tournament wins is a bigger achievement than his rank,
as i've said before, you can't rate people on a rank system where you can pick and choose who you play.

The reason we are considering capping this thread is because this is a congratulations thread on Onua's achievements. Not a debate on whether members think the achievement is in fact an achievement at all. I think a large proportion of the comments made are unfair and this is why I've asked them to stop - they hold no bearing on the thread.

Again - if people want to use this thread to congratulate Onua on his fantastic achievement, one which Nick clearly describes in his post, then please feel free to do so.

If anyone else post's after this trying to argue how he got there, or to question his achievement then I shall remove your post and consider taking away posting abilities.

I feel it would be a great shame to have to cap a congratulations thread when it is congratulating such a momentous occasion in Funkypool history, one which will take some beating - or not as some have ranted on about.
