Why not The Notebook?
I don't like watching one genre of film, I like a good few films from all over. Whether it be Horror, Romance, Action, Film Noir/Melodrama ect ect.....
The Notebook was well made, the acting was superb. The storyline was absolutely fantastic, and the end was both beautiful and sad. I cried. In fact I almost bought a t-shirt saying "I Cried at The Notebook." But I think that would of been going too far.
I tell you what, watch it. You don't have to come on here and say anything, just watch it. I know you perhaps need to be macho about it and be all like "I'm a man, I don't cry at films you crzy fool" but I reckon the hardest man in Broadmoor would suffer at the hands of this bad boy!!!

Well, considering the part where they discover an amazing new drug and they hunt nick cage and twin brother nick cage through the woods (and all the other good parts) were all creations of the screenwriter's mind and aren't in the book..... i think the movie is probably better! The book is just about the whole orchid thing. Not sure how captivating that would be!

Indeed I think you might be right. I might not even read the Orchid Theif now...... although I probably will....

Ah but the book isn't that obscure, in the book world!
I have it but haven't got round to reading it yet. I do however agree that the film will be better than the book in this case.

i have watched it, ya the acting is something to compliment, it's just a bit too sobby...not trying to sound 'macho' or anything
the latest movies i've watched and loved within the last week are: Role Models, Sex Drive , Extreme movie

Sex Drive is a great movie. But my favourite films are Clerks 2 and City Of God.
