Saw "American Beauty" about an hour ago for the first time, it's shot straight into my "Recommend to all who ask" list

Braveheart is still my fave film of all time but there's quite a few which I love, shawshank redemption mentioned above being one of them

Some others I'd recommend:

28 Days Later (and the sequel, 28 weeks later)

A Beautiful Mind

Gladiator
Pulp Fiction
Fight Club

Monty Python and the Holy Grail
