Oh how different peoples opinions' would be if this happened to England. We have been cheated, we have accepted that, and now we are moving on. If it was the English, we wouldn't hear the end of it til the World Cup was over, so don't give us this "oh get over it" crap, because trust me, if this happened to England, you would be crying about it forever, and would have more chance of a replay than we will ever have. We outplayed France over 2 legs they know that as well as anyone but we have been cheated of a fair crack of being in South Africa because of appalling officiating, and that's the bottom line.

niall; please dont swear on the forum, this kind of behaviour may lead to a posting revoke. I changed the word to crap for you - flumpy

mate, it's happened to england before and yeah okay some people would go on about it forever, I though assure you am not one of those people, when we had the goal against portugal dissallowed because of a supposive offside, which clearly wasn't I didn't go moaning about it for ages after, during the game maybe but the day after I just shrugged it off and said the decision was final and it wouldnt get replayed, so don't turn around to me and call me a hypocrit, because I simply am not mate,

Nothing like this has ever happened to any nation before, I'm not even going to go there because anyone in their right mind knows we have been cheated like nothing before. I'm over it though, and the world cup draw should be interesting!

All im going to say is, IF it was the other way round and say Keane handballed it and Duff knocked it in... Imagine the uproar FIFA would cause, imagine the outcome... there WOULD be a replay, Keane WOULD be dealt with and Ireland WOULD be made to keep that label for years to come...

As its one of the "Big nations" It WILL get overlooked and forgotten in a weeks time, and I think it's disgraceful!

Happens in the Premier League as everyone has pointed out...

Liverpool vs Birmingham for example.., N'gog's dive... Whether Liverpool hammered Birmingham and deserved a victory or not the player and club should all have been punished and goal not have stood, but in the obscene laws of the game it did.

This is the perfect time if any for the introduction of video technology and also for a big nation/team to be made an example of and knock bias out of the sport, in my opinion!

nothing as bad yes, but my example still stands and that could well have been a trophy we may have lifted if the goal had of stood, it was still an outcome that could've changed the whole tournament

I disagree, whichever team it had've been, in my opinion there wouldn't/will not be a replay, the one good thing about FIFA is they are usually pretty consistant, take van persie's dive for instance, they didnt do anything to punish him for his discusting dive, as they have done the same for many years with other players.

as for the video technology, hell yes it would be a great time to bring it in and I've been saying for 5+ years that it was needed, maybe this finally could be the breakthrough needed to get it in place

Anyone see Roy Keane's interview about this? Even one of your own is telling you to get over it you had your chances

The simple fact is they can't replay it.

Say if they do - like i said before are they going to give Ireland the goal they scored??

Roy Keane is anything but "one of our own". He should concentrate on repairing the damage he's causing at Ipswich then bring his bitterness out again.

Oh, well said Mich!

I think in tomorrow's newspapers it's gonna be claimed that FIFA and the FFF were gonna bow to overwhelming pressure and grant a reply but that Raymond Domenech said "Non." Opinions, everyone?

More bullcrap...Domenech would have nothing to do with it if the FFF and FIFA agreed to a replay...just needs to be let go now, the more talk about it, the more frustrating and heartbreaking it is.

For the Irish eyes who feel they have been cheated on.

Should this game be replayed too?

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Jf9fx4ipF4Q&hl=en_GB&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Jf9fx4ipF4Q&hl=en_GB&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Helped you along your qualifying way did it not? Was it a penalty, was it eckers like

We didn't cheat though...plus even if we had have lost that game, we would still have been in the play-offs, so jog on

How did you NOT cheat, how is it any different to what Henry did?

Tell me where the penalty was? Same place as where the chest control from Henry was it seems.

You scored and got a result from that game, whereas you may not have and Bulgaria may have caught you up because you may have been gutted and dropped points in other games to allow them to catch up

"If it had been Robbie Keane in Henry's position would he have stopped and admit a handball to the ref after he just set up a goal to send his team to the world cup finals??

Its easy to take the moral highground when your the effected party, but the truth of the matter is it is the ref and linesman who are at fault here, not Henry. Anyone who plays football knows that you play to the whistle as the ref has the final say on any matter.

Anyone who turns on Henry in this situation is an idiot. Henry is always honest and a genuine role model in the game today. It was a handball and it should not have counted but it's not Henry's fault the ref allowed it.

We shouldn't fall into believing that just because it's a bigger nation, qualifying doesn't mean as much to them."

I'll just quote someone from a page on the matter of a person who I agree with. Problem with football is that people will bend the rules to win matches and if the officials miss it, then it's their fault. Truth is some refs do back the top teams, look at the domestic league with teams like Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal, how many decisions do they get in their favour in comparison to teams like Burnley, Birmingham City and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Most obvious of late being David N'gog's blantant dive against Birmingham to earn Liverpool a point. It's the unfortunate reality of football and maybe new technology is required to help these sort of incidents don't happen
