That's more often than not to be honest murphy. Look at Kenny Miller. 50k a week at Bursaspor and he doesn't even want to be there, he thought about his wallet before anything else.

Yet again players are choosing money over medals

I'm not even going to argue and speculate on wage amounts. But I am very very confident that Danns, Conway and Heder's decisions were not about the money. But quality of football and personal development. The place for that is definitely not Scotland. When will Old Firm fans face up that the level of Scottish football is not on par with the Championship (your teams may be Championship level, but the standard of everything just does not cut it up here).

His name was Hemed, not Heder

Fair enough. He still is not even the slightest bit attracted to the prospect of playing Scotland. Especially when he had the choice of La Liga, and yet the west coast bias journalism such as today's Daily Record claims it was for money. Absolutely mental viewpoint.

Maybe it isn't all about money, but it may well have played a part.

Rangers = Trophies & Champions League football

Real Mallorca = No trophies & no Champions League football

Still, I'm sure he'll enjoy his time in Spain. Even if he has nothing to show for it

The competition in Spain is a lot harder than it'll ever be in Scotland.

Real Mallorca, La Liga = a trip to the Nou Camp, a trip to the Bernabeau and then obviously the home fixtures. Then there is also Athletico Madrid(Europa league winners 2010), Valencia(CL finalist 00 and 01), Villareal(twice Europa league semi's and one CL semis in last 8 years), Sevilla(twice uefa cup winners in last 5 years) and that's domestic league. All massive European clubs. Get's to live his life in luxury resort Palma. Playing for one of the world's best ever players in Michael Laudrup.

Rangers, SPL = handful of games in Champions League against clubs from fellow second rate leagues. Possibly getting some Europa League action, but chances are it won't be too many. Biggest game is to Celtic which is hardly a glamour tie these days, the rest are dull affairs at East End Park, Tannadice, McDiarmid Park. Will need to live in gloomy Scotland. Possibility of winning a Scottish Cup, League Cup and/or SPL winners medal.

I didn't even mention money there.

Sometimes the blue tinted shades need to come off Murphy.

champions league football will never be a guarantee anymore in scotland regardless of which club you play for with the seedings

spanish league, sunshine, plenty of money!!

rangers, scotland, sub standard teamates and opposition, freezing cold etc

seems to me he made the right choice and also i would say mallorca would give celtic or rangers a game

Starting to lose patience with this transfer nonsense already. C'mon Craig, put your money where your mouth is

I'd say he's worth 2 million and no more. Craig Whyte doesn't think he's worth 2 million, i'd love him to end up going for it anyway then realizing he was worth every penny.

Yay! Ally has finally signed his first player

Juan Manuel Ortiz played for UD Almeria and is primarily a right-sided midfielder, but can also play right wing or both full back positions.
