A shocking result for Rangers today, lacked consistency and pace of Dundee Utd, particularly in the 2nd half.
With a make do defence, and one big bill that's surfaced, Rangers aren't looking too hot at the moment, Whyte needs to shape up or ship out. Put his money where his mouth is!

Elsewhere, a fantastic game for St Mirren, bad start conceding to a Hamilton screamer. Pulling 3 goals back to send Hamilton to the 1st division.

Good on them.

Or at least stop this never ending story being dragged out. Rangers might go bust is the latest news. My hairy bum they will but lets stop this saga continuing. Buy them or dont!!!!!!!!!!

If i had to bet my life on it i would plump for hamilton but its def not over yet as St Mirren are still guff and only a couple of results in it!

Even so, Hamilton are a long way behind, and they need to get the results to stay. They've failed to get the results all season to be fair so they have no one to blame but themselves.

What a battle in the 1st Division though between Raith, Dunfermline and Falkirk!

Personally i think Raith deserve it, IMO i feel they have done a cracking job over the last few seasons to get up and going again after such a struggle. Plus, Dunfermline and Falkirk have been in the SPL plenty of times. Raith haven't been for about 15 years. So it would be nice to see them play against the elites again.

In other news, god knows what happened at Fir park the other day:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/9445218.stm

I believe the Motherwell chairman must've said something like "you traitor" to get this kind of reaction. Rather unfair on Craig Brown though, John Boyle tried to briskly walk away but Craig was having none of it. Absolute coward.

Pleased with the Saints result yesterday, that was a really important win. We weren't great apart from the 15 minute spell our goals came in. A good header for the first by Higdon. Next thing you know, Dargo goes through one-on-one, as usual he doesn't shoot, then he's suddenly a yard away from Cerny and Martin Canning takes him down, straight red card and Higdon sticks away the penalty. Then either Dargo or Murray find themselves out wide, Higdon and...Alex Neil I think are the only two players deep in Accies half, a great ball over Neil finds Higdon who sends an excellent volley into the net. Then Danny Lennon takes off Higdon and...well, we lost our attack threat when we could have pummelled them.

I wont count us safe until we mathematically are, all it takes is an Accies win or two and it's suddenly game on again. I'm glad we are in a good position at the moment, but I think it's been an awful year. Danny Lennon has brought in a few poor players, he's tactically inept and he's lucky Hamilton have been disastrous this year. Big changes needed if we're going to survive next year, especially if this stupid ten team league idea comes into play the year after.

Also, why is Willie Collum rated so highly? I've never, ever seen him have a good game, Accies got away with a ton of fouls in the box on Higdon, Alex Neil effectively had Dargo in a headlock chasing after the ball and threw him to the ground without a booking, and, well...yeah, Collum is just awful. Hamilton's goal was outstanding, but considering their defence are cheats and they got the two Paixao divers (Flavio had an amazing dive yesterday which nearly had me in hysterics), I don't have much sympathy for them. And Billy Reid's after match interview was hilarious because he was so, so bitter. Always goes on about Accies playing good football (seriously?), and couldn't accept we are the better team. Round ye.

I couldn't stop laughing when I heard Billy Reid saying Hamilton are better than St Mirren...he must have been playing Football Manager in the dugout or something

Rangers 2 - 0 St Johnstone. Scrappy game from what I've heard. But 3 points is what's important.

Should have happened on Saturday, but we're finally back where we belong...top of the league!

Not for long, Celtic will claim it in their next game in hand.

Though if Rangers are to have any chance of winning this title, they need to beat Celtic in the next old firm game.

Another win for Saints, two in a row

Unfortunately, now we face trips to Parkhead and Ibrox...

Great result for the Saints again, this surely puts their survival beyond questioning.
Need a new manager though...and some new players NOT from lower divisions.

Another important win for Rangers against Aberdeen. Hopefully we can keep grinding out the results until the end of the season.

And a fantastic goal from Jelavic

On the downside, Vladimir Weiss and Kirk Broadfoot are out for the rest of the season

Just had a look at the fixtures coming up, next three games are massive all over the league.

The Mighty Heart of Midlothian playing ICT, Motherwell and Kilmarnock while Dundee Utd play Rangers Celtic and Kilmarnock. Third place could be put to bed in this time.

Rangers playing St Mirren, United while Celtic have toughies against Kilmarnock and United with a Old firm game thrown in. A chance to get right back into the league for the wee Jambos.

Hamilton having Hibs, Aberdeen and St mirren. A doomed cause im sure but not the worst fixtures to have coming up to give them a shout.

Top six shouts, Motherwell sitting pretty the now but next up is Hearts Rangers and Dundee United which can only allow ICT to catch up.

Next three games can decide everything and have it all done and dusted but looks to me thats its set up to make the end of the season a superb one.

Hearts, a chance to get back into the league? No chance, even if the Old firm do drop points they'll never drop enough for Hearts to catch them, remember Hearts would have to win every single game remaining, and Old firm would have to have a bit of bad luck.

Mind you it is Rangers and Celtic we are talking about....both are poor at the moment.

Doubtful of anyone catching to within 5 pts.

By this i meant Rangers lol. I am an optimistic person but even i have my limits. If i thought the real hearts could win the league then I would be happy to attend a meeting with a shrink!!!
