I'd think so too. Depends on the seriousness of what was said and done during those incidents...and also if certain accusations turn out to be true.

I think 8 games is enough IMO, maybe a fine for the rest if they do decide further action

Eight games? try half a season???
He's been out of order far too many times in his first managerial season. He needs to learn respect for the SFA.
I wish i could hear what Lawell has said to him...bet he's keeping right out of it because he knows Lennon is wrong.

It will no doubt be swept under the carpet....just like the Poppy Banner incident was. They're good at that sort of thing

Mcquiston makes a good point but i don't see the SFA handed a half season ban anytime soon haha Maybe 8 games is not enough. In my opinion Lennon is still acting like a player i do not think it has registered in his mind that he is now the manager of Celtic and acting like he has, has just ruined his reputation.

Strathclyde Police are now investigating alegations of abuse.

Read that, Omg so what Celtic will stand by him during all of this, he will just be bringing a bad name to Celtic now for all of this, i think the threats made towards him are totally out of order though.
Diouf reminds me of me on the pitch and quite possibly off it aswell he has a short fuse and just can't seem to control it and that affects his game play usually, i think if Rangers invested a little time in to anger management with the whole team then there would be less stress and all that fighting and crap going on on the pitch, i say less as there will always be a fight or something somewhere.

Lets look at how Romanov and the hearts managers have been handed fines, bans and suspensions left right and centre by the SFA over the last few years. Not so quick in these instances now funnily enough.
I dont care about how Celtic, Rangers and Neil Lennon look to everyone in the media, but I do care how the rest of the world will look at scottish football, and having travelled with hearts abroad in the past, I shall not look forward to my next trip as the ginger whinger and his mob with his antics which have incited such infantile outrage, the police abroad will treat us in this vein and no trip will ever truly be safe again.

So the Old Firm Summit was held today, with some radical plans aimed at stamping out sectarianism and avoid a repeat of the scenes seen at the Cup Replay.
These include:
- Players being briefed by police before games, and warned that their future actions could lead to a criminal prosecution
- Games could be arranged to be played during midweek
- Stadium banning orders could be widened to include incidents away from stadiums
- Alchohol ban on Old Firm matchdays
- Greater policing of internet to clamp down on threats and sectarianism on sites like facebook.
What does everyone think of this? Do you think it will work?
Personally I can see 2 flaws:
Ban alcohol on matchdays - People will just buy it a few days earlier from supermarkets and get drunk at home.
Matches played midweek - Would be pretty difficult due to European games. Plus this trouble all started during a midweek match.

An Alcohol ban is ridiculous, it's almost as if they are looking for every excuse to ban it, bet Nicola Sturgeon is loving this. (That woman does my nut in!)
I enjoy a couple of pints at the pub watching the game and whenever there's trouble, just keep out of it, ignore it and don't waste your time. Really not worth it being another crime stat is it??
Rangers have PSV Eindhoven tomorrow night, i'm looking forward to this one. I Think Rangers will hold out to for a draw. I'll guarantee it'll be a 5-4-1 with Diouf up front alone, or a 4-5-1 With Diouf up front with either Naismith or Lafferty supporting, if they are fit for play.
Another shameful game for the Saints on Sunday, i've got to admit, they are looking more dangerous for relegation than Hamilton. The way i'd look at this would be more focused on Hamiltons score rather than my own team...

They can all sit down and have a meeting and put in these new policing rules/ government rules all they like, its not going to work. I be delighted if this nonsense was out of the game but lets be honest, these summits/ meetings have all been held before with great new ways to sort out the old firm and there fans but has anything ever worked..................no! And to be honest if that is the actual points they have come out with, what a joke. Totally uninforcable and with no real vision of how to sort this.
The only way that these (it is a minority) idiots will learn is drastic action. Short of getting the police tooled up and allowing them to beat the crap out of anyone breaking the law, play one game behind closed doors, dont put it on the tv or radio. Tell them the reasons why and let them decide for themselves. 'Is what im doing worth possibly making this the future of Old firm games?' Reckon we might get a quick result.

I dont mean just the old firm should be threaened with this, any problem matches. As a hearts fan, our games were going that way for a bit but have calmed down now!

Rangers 2 - 1 Celtic Co-Operative Insurance Cup Final.
Well i had to stream this game as sister was watching TV and BBC1 website gave me outstanding coverage of the game, I think that Rangers deserved the win we had today, celtic were ompressive at some points in the game.
Davis goal was meant i think when you look at the angles i think he means to hit it but it comes off as a weak shot. Our second goal was just damn right weird and no one can say it was luck because if that was your team you would defend that goal to the hills and back again.
Nice to see Lennon was not a touchline, atleast he has took his punishment and is paying the price for it. Just hope the teddy bears can add the SPL title to there trophy cabinet as that would make Smith's departure even more better for him.

I think Jelavic meant to put that much spin on the ball
Fantastic win for Rangers though. About time we beat Celtic! Delighted for Walter winning a trophy at his last visit to Hampden

Well deserved by Rangers.
Davis deserved his MOTM. Weiss should have been on at the start. Edu shouldn't have.
Davie Weir, your time is up, please retire, you are to blame for almost all near misses. Every time Celtic almost scored, guaranteed Weir was most likely at fault.
Celtics first goal, Weir was behind his man. Any other time he just wasn't around.

That Lennon is a menace, nothing but trouble for football.
If this was anyone else the full ban would be enforced. This is a joke.
And regarding my previous post, Lennon being sent away in a FRIENDLY match (Against a team in Spain to raise money for it's youth development program) is beyond me. This just shows what kind of attitude he has.
