Agree, its much more difficult to find a game, i liked it the way it was to be honest.

It should available then tournaments, so it's not working right.

Any reason you'd want it the other way round, ste?

Well, iv never had trouble finding a game. I dunno about other people but i liked it the way it was.

I'm coming to terms with the new layout. Now everything at the top is smaller it looks a lot better and the new felts are good as well. Still not a fan of autostart. Was playing mich last night and we played like 33 games and i said im off now m8- by the time we'd both said "alrite then cya tomorrow, blah blah" the game had started again.

I know there was talk of extending the time limit, but i think the best option is to put a pause game button on. So if me and mich are in the middle of a marathon session, and one of us needs a break for whatever reason, we can pause the game rather than one of us having to leave the room and watch, meaning someone else can come in and then you end up creating a new room...lol

Although a pause game button has been mooted before and i think in private games it would be useful

Hold on, if it's a private game no one could enter so a pause wouldn't help in this case. Next version will have an easy way to switch between playing and watching at any point, so it will make navigating in private games a lot easier.

Glad you're coming round to the changes. The new area at the top will allow me to add some more new features, too.

It would be useful if when playing on the red cloth it's says "sporting to play pink 3 ball" not, 'sporting to play red 3 ball

i thought of that after i wrote it....if its a private room it wont affect it really no.

i guess, what im trying to say, is if you are in a race to 20 or whatever and you need 2 minutes to feed the dog or nip out 4 a ciggy or whatever people do, it would be nice to have a pause game button so you know where you are. With having to watch the game then re-enter it resets the score to 0-0 obviously at the top or on the chat bar where it displays results. With a pause button, the score would stay the same and you could just unpause when both ready.
Im sure theres other scenarios where it would be handy but thats my main one!

I know its only a little thing, but it would be a nice lil touch for people who mainly play friends

More characters in a post would be a great update as well

I quite often struggle with 1000, and the above post was edited many times before posting to fit it all on. I know you can just post underneath (like now) but people often post in the middle which is annoying A character increase would be great, and i dont see how any1 could really abuse it. It would just help those of us who have a really long speech to make every so often

Actually, for private games there is no automatic game start, so you can stop playing at your leisure. Ability to invite for new room owner should be available too, that's a bug I never got round to fixing. So I guess once this fix and the easy ability to switch between watcher and player is in place it should resolve the problems you mentioned.

OK, today I've added some new links to the top panel. The main change is a big "quick match" link. This allows any user to play the first available game of the same type as your practice game, and if none is available then it sets up a game with the default settings (same as the settings you see when you press create game). Following on from this, the "play online game" button is now called "game rooms" (so we now have "chat rooms" and "game rooms"). You can also easily switch between watching and playing, but you can only do this when the table is in practice mode (ie there is not currently an active game going on). You can also do this in practice games so winner stays on rooms should be much easier. Private rooms have this ability also, plus the new room owner now has ability to invite people.

The table area has been increased by 3px to the same size as original.

I've fixed a few small problems, eg your rank position on your profile page should be correct now (previously it considered deactivated accounts). Guest pages now detail the games played by the guest. Also the confirmation prompt should be working correctly in firefox.

Hmmm after logging in for the first time in about a month, I can't say I'm all that fond of the new layout. However, like most new things, I'm sure it will just take some getting used to and all will be good again
