Have a light coloured skin on the background of the table and a cool design in the middle of the table on top of the chosen colour.

yeh colour looks good, but darker parts are harder to see when potting, i thinkg any colour is fine, just helps if we can see edges of balls so we can pot them, (in theory,anyway)

sorry but its spoilt it for me its way to dark round the edges. Green was perfectly fine so why oh why change it??

I'm not too sure about options to change the table colour to be honest... I don't think there should be options to change the table colour, however that is only my opinion

8 ball was a green table for me until 2 days ago when it changed to the horrible blue

Well thats why he said on the first page, I might add choices if alot of people seriously want it.

If everyone is asking for choices Nick should end up adding it, But there should also be like new colours in the choices ETC..


IMO It's a good colour brightens the place up

To be honest, I much prefer the old one.
I can?t see the pockets properly, its way to dark around the edges and the center blue just kills my eyes.
Green is just more restful to the eyes ? at least on my monitor.
But I surely understand that some people prefer the new blue one, so it would be nice if we could have the choice to customize the table we play on.

I like the new felt, but i noticed one of the balls had changed colour dramatically.
Why?

I quite like the blue one, but the only way your going to get round the problem of not liking certain colours is to add more colours for users to choose. there certainly looks to be a decent demand for it.

I think the font of the "practice table" needs changing to black.

I like the blue colour but the cushions look a bit too dark. How about the same colour felt but with red cushions?

My thoughts:
1) Choice seems to be desirable. If you don't use the default table it will take a slightly longer time to change the table (the table graphic is about 30kb so shouldn't take too long).
2) Yes, the practice table text colour should be changed.

I wonder whether different monitor brightness and colour depths contribute to the disparity of opinions.

I like it, also i think there should be an option where you can choose your own colour then people can be happy with there own colour preference what you think

i agree nick my monitor is an old 17 inch crt and the games just to dark round the edges. have tried putting my brightness up to max but its still to dark you cant see the pockets. maybe need to upgrade to a tft but at a £100 its just not worth it. looks like i'll have to go back to yahoo pool if things dont improve 8(

Would the increased period of time for the table to load occur everytime a game starts or just when you change the colour??

Also when the option to choose the colour of the table is mentioned i invisage another drop down box in options below where you choose the colour scheme... is this what you have in mind nick or are you thinking of something different?
