I know this is off topic but I would like to point out that in my opinion he is the best. And I think I've played all of the 'top players'.

Another point is unless you have played Carl then you are in no situation to say he is not the best, whoever he has played to get to number one.

u only sayin he the best because he numbr one if he did not play rank u wouldnt know who he was so he is not the best in my eyes every 1 has been beaten and wil b beaten so no1 is the best just play better at the table at that time

Hes now beaten the best maxmium rank i have seen on here which was _steven_.
If he beats _paguyluan_'s 951 then he will be a legend no matter who he played to get there.

If anybody else thinks they can do it then try. He must have won well over 150 of his last 155 games to get there beating low rankers, which would suggest it is a lot harder to do than beat a fellow high ranker.......
I have played plenty of low rankers and eventually one will beat him and it will cost him probably a new record points lost in a game on funkypool. But he has still won those points fair and square and had to play very consistently to do it.
I, for one couldn't match that dedication to play so many games in a row for so little reward per game. If anyone thinks they can do better then prove it!
As for the other thread, what do you expect admins/mods to do- ban him for doing something perfectly within the rules?
I can see why people dont like it but get over it

I'm not going to get drawn into a long debate about something that has nothing to do with the thread, but just to correct you, I think he is the best because I have played him many times, like I have played colins, smithibit and hotcoles many times. They are all great players, no dowt about that, and I rarely beat them.
But, It has nothing to do with ' because he is ranked number one', especially as he was one of the first person that I met on the site and played regularly and I was playing him only when he was 800 ranking and he was close to 100 tournaments.

The last bit of your post I agree and disagree. No question that all those players beat eachother on a regular basis, but there is always a 'better player at that time' out there like you're saying, which means he is 'the best', all be it at this particular time.
