When signing up with any unofficial Funkypool leagues/forums please keep in mind to use a different password than the one you are currently using to log in here.

I, also, would like to stress what pool_life has said.
Just to let you know, I will not create any code requiring a password and don't feel other event sites should either. ]
Again, I can't stress how important it is not to use your funkypool password anywhere other than funkypool.com.
Even though I no longer work here, I still care about the site and do not want users to give passwords away to people who may be out there looking to gain access to someone's account

Personally, I see no reason why any unofficial site needs a password script in the first place. That is only really required by the first (official) site, which in this case is funkypool.com.
Sorry for waffling on, I just felt pool_life's point was important and I wanted to extend it.

This shows how keen nick was to avoid having to bring passwords in. Unfortuntley we have little option but to do so after the amount of fake results posted by people who are, possibly, not even involved in the league.
I think everyone understands that we didn?t want to have to make it a password site. But to ensure you get a fair deal in the league and dont have fake results on your name that could keep you from promotion or get you relegated it is now necessary,
To re-iterate what pool_life said on page three of this thread DO NOT use your funkypool password as your password for this event site. The passwords are encrypted anyway but if you use a different password and then get hacked it eliminates us from your thoughts!
This is the best way forward for the site and to keep everything fair! More details will follow as soon as the code is in place on how to create your password.

I accepted a fair few results today. I didn't see a problem with them, they looked just like any other result soo...

I leave you all alone for a few days and this is what happens! I've been deleting fake results recently as well. Nick's doing a great job with the coding, the site really is coming along nicely. Hopefully everything will be back to normal asap. Keep playing those games

omg no way its not accepting my password saying its corrupted and i need to play my games.

The passwords will be sorted out over the weekend
Do not attempt to log in at the moment as there are no passwords set up!
You can still submit as normal, but if you could please confirm the result on here as well until the username script is working fully, that would be great.
Also, due to the amount of fake results that have been submitted, tomorrow's deadline has been cancelled. Note: All players will still need to meet deadline 5 on 28th June. The amount of games require will not change just because of this deadline being cancelled.
If anyone has any queries, problems or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact either myself or one of the updaters for the league.

How is this username system going to work?
Is it going to enable you/us updaters to see who posted each result, so we can see whoever posts any fakes?

Hi,
The username script will work exactly the same way (The person who created the game will host).
The only difference is:- you will no longer able to choose a username and opponent, you will only be able to choose your opponent. Your username will be picked up from your username from the login script.

how would you add it though- you need 5 online at a time and goin on the amount of games being played people are struggling to get 1 :S
