Its been up 6 hours and no-one has advised me on anything!

It is clearable this thing, I just need to know how to do it in a language I understand!

Ok i haven't had a look at your thread on the other site but lets have a go here.

First thing, make sure your anti-virus is up to date.

Now, download spyware search and destroy : http://public.planetmirror.com/pub/spybot/spybotsd15.exe

Run it, let it update, and run a scan, removing anything it throws up.

Now restart.

Next, update windows.

Go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

Among the updates will be the malicious software removal tool. Its good, very good. Let the updates run, they may take a while.

Even if you are not told to, restart your computer and let us know how it goes from there..

Sm_rat I presume on Tech Support Guy you are called kid_s?

Spinner i do agree with the ideas you have come up with, however, running a hijackthis log and then having malware removal experts take a look will be a far better option.

Sm_rat i will get an expert to take a look at the thread for you.

Thanks very much dark_cloud.

I have no idea what you are called but i am kid_s and I really dont have a clue wat they are on about in the threads that are similar to mine.

I just need an expert that will take me step by step through the process in a language that I can understand!

You have a reply

Follow their intructions to the word, fortunately only qualified members can give you advice so you'll have to trust them. You may not understand some things, if so just post here and i will explain what they are asking you to do.

For example they have requested you download a program which looks at your computer and what it is doing, and then produces a 'log' where they can look through and spot the problems.

Sorry dude, i've seen some of the drivel these guys spout and it riles me a bit.

Don't you smell a rat (lol, no offence to sm_rat) that these "IT pro's" have so much time to spend on forums?

They are always obsessed with "hijackthis" and miss the fact most modern "hassles" know how to avoid detection now.

Let's try something different:

Download FixWareOut from one of these sites;
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://swandog46.geekstogo.com/Fixwareout.exe

Save it somewhere and run it.
Click Next, then Install, and make sure Run fixit is checked
Click: Finish

Edit - sm_rat - sorry, dont get confused. Do carry on with what you're trying and if it doesn't work, refer back.

sm_rat, spinner was simply suggesting another less complicated method that may have worked. He didnt gurantee it would work. Anyway we will see how it goes on Techguy forums.

I'm happy both me and spinner could help out.

Please download FixWareout from one of these mirrors:

These are simply links to a program you need to download and then run fixit.

Once finished the program will say your computer needs to re-boot. Let it re-boot.

When your computer loads back up (it may do so slower than usual) copy the text that pops-up in a window and paste it into a reply on your tech guy thread.

Yes, but then it says fix the checked thingys with hijackfix, and allow certain stuff to happen in teatimer.

Or do i do all of that after i posted the thread.

And when it says deleted temp internet files. Do i do that by going into internet options like always?

Thx

This requires you to open HijackThis again and select each of these and fix them.

START ? RUN ? type in %temp% - OK - Edit ? Select all ? File ? Delete

then

Tech Support Guy Expert said:

Delete everything in the C:\Windows\Temp folder or C:\WINNT\temp

To do this go to start and use the search feature to find "C:\Windows\Temp folder"

Tech Support Guy Expert said:

Not all temp files will delete and that is normal

When you attempt to delete temp files usually there will be some still left. Just leave them.

Tech Support Guy Expert said:

Empty the recycle bin

Easy to do...

Tech Support Guy Expert said:

Boot and post a new hijack log from normal NOT safe mode

Restart your computer then run HiJackThis and get another log. Before you Copy and paste it into the thread as you did at the start check your computer to see if you still have the same problems. Now you need to do copy and paste it into the thread for the experts to look at.

Chris.
