Just wanted to know if this is usual, but when ever I click on a link in google, it takes me to a completetly different site than the link said.
Like this morning, I clicked on the freewebs link to update my 8US leagues, and it took me to a site for Kitchen instalation!
Just wanted to know if there is anything i could do!

Thanks a lot for your help
I've figured out the problem, and its a damaged activeX. I've tried deleting it out of internet options and it says I gotta delete it out of Control Panel. Thing is, its not on control panel.
Any ideas?

Parental control programs are additional pieces of software, not unlike firewalls, which can be installed to prevent minors from viewing unsuitable sites.
Your "active x control" could be either java, flash, or any other browser plugin (they tend to all be called active x controls in error messages)
If you cant track it down, post the controls name and we'll see what we can identify for you.

Hmm....
I've done everything!
Scanned, found nothing.
Deleted every ActiveX control I had.
Re set the internet.
Re-booted in safe mode, scanned (found 4 viruses)
Loaded back up.
Still having the problem!
1 of the viruses was a tracking cookie. Could you tell me what that is, and if it would have caused this?
And if it does, could you tell me why im still experiencing it?

A Tracking Cookie is any cookie used for tracking users surfing habits. Tracking Cookies are a form of Tracking Technology. They are usually used by advertisers wishing to analyze and manage advertising data, but they may be used to profile and track user activity more closely. However, tracking cookies are simply a text file and are simply a record of visits or activity with a single Website or its affiliated sites.
So dont worry

What virus software have you scanned with?
Personally i think you have spyware/adware which is redirecting you.
Sounds simple but have you tried clearing your browsing history (temp. internet files etc...)?

Nope.... Still there.
It found 117 cookies, a dialer.generic (or suming) and a Pc crasher thingy-me-bob.
But it didn't get rid of the re-directing sites.
What I want to know now is if I can block these sites from my computer.
If I get the address of these sites, would I be able to do that?
(It would have to be tomorrow because they got addresses like; 23.288.67.12/re-direct...... etc.)
Plz help spinner, I'm worried!

sm_rat can you please message me the site url's which you are redirected to.
##NOTE## do not post the links on this thread as they are possibly adware.
I will investigate into this problem for you, as i have never come across a situation like this where the computer isnt heavily infected...
(Edited for a simple spelling error)

sm_rat my advice to you is to go to:
http://www.techguy.org/
First off you will need to create yourself an account (Its free of course)
Then in this section of the forum:
http://forums.techguy.org/54-malware-removal-hijackthis-logs/
Create a new thread as you have done in this forum.
As I am not a certified malware expert I do not feel it right for me to be advising you.
As long as you explain you are not a so called 'geek' they will put it all in simple terms for you.
Trust me that site is made up of some of America's top I.T professionals.
If you need a hand I am already a frequent user so just get in touch and I'll help where i can.
