I don't appreciate games that put me to sleep, I don't mind a bit of safety and the odd snooker but lets be honest here it can be a boring game with too much safety and snookering,
a game full of people that need 2 shots to win.

After playing over 20,000 games of UK 8 ball I can safely say i've never fallen asleep at the keyboard

the 8 ball uk table is so unrealistic. if the US tables have nuckles then so should the Uk table.

it is not good enough to say well its "FUNKY" pool as this has nothing to do with it. The Other tables are realstic and there still funky so that is not a just reason.

Also i find it a joke that you can pot a ball along a cusion into a centre bag! .

What really annoys me about it is that my favourite pool game is UK and i dont think it is getting the repect it deserves.

Finally can anybody explain why the pockets are like this?

2 shot carry is a rule in propper 8ball uk fella so thats not an issue

because if every one took that attitude nobody would play on it!

Also over on snooker we all seem to agree that 8 ball uk is a game needing change. If you changed this then more people from snooker would play no doubt!

Rubbish table, It is high time the table was revamped to look like a real table.

I think we should have polls, then we could see if more people wanted a change or to keep it the way it is. I think it needs fixed up.

lol i agree with the two shots to win. im not that good of a player but i get pros and they go for the snooker to get the two shots to win when they could've potted the balls instead!

On topic, no point in changing it, it would not go down well with the majority of people, and I enjoy the game now after hating it at first, I enjoy the tactical said it brings

theres a few different pool associations about using different rules, I think you will find most don't play 2 shots carry now.

There is an extremely simple answer to all this.

UK 8ball is by far the most popular game on all the funkysites.

People make the decision to play on the table they like, and they like the UK one, as it is now, the best.

If you want to play on a table like the US one, play the US game! Thats what it's there for!

Remember, applying this same logic would also mean you want the arcade snooker table removed and replaced with the proper one, would all the snooker players like that?

However, consideration could be given to introducing another UK table, perhaps using the arcade snooker table, as a trial, and see how popular it is?

Edit - remember, "make it more realistic like the US games" isnt a great argument, since the ones here now are the "arcade" versions. The realistic ones had to go because they were so unpopular

I'd hate to see the UK table go, albeit that I don't play UK very often! I like the sound of a second UK table, just as I did with US pro tables, but we sharn't go there. My worry is, would people really appreciate a new table? Most of the old ones on here i doubt will, but i suppose we'll only find that out if another table comes through.

To be honnest i think the new style is very good and we should be able to make some of our own in the near future.

i think that the one the now should be a classic table and then make one to keep people who don't like it happy a newer version but i like the old one so theres no point in taking it away

only way to settle it cause loads of people like it as well so it can't just be deleted
