'ive seen worse' is just an excuse that could be used for anything m8.
oh look that guy killed 20 people.
pfft ive seen worse, so thus its ok 8-)
doesnt settle with me. replacing 'you' with 'u' is pretty much normal nowdays, i didnt use to do it.. but now it just comes naturally. people get the jist, so i dont think it matters as much.
and while im on the subject, that general thread is getting pretty damn annoying.. its just general talking, which if you actually signed on the game, youd discuss anyway. thats what PMs are for.
its a joke that some of my well constructed posts get deleted cos they had one tiny insult in, and posts like PMSLLLLLLLLLLLLLL im great ta, howa u babes/?? get kept.
guess its just the majority, and how this forum works.
Once again _whatever_ you've not read my post. Read my post you will see an example of what i feel is worse behaviour. I also find arrogence and abusive behaviour more annoying.

So long as it's constructive and relevent to the thread, i couldn't care less, i've seen worse things, like members bullying on threads, that annoys me more.

As for your question Paula, these "silly immature posts" are normally left alone so long as they are relevent to the thread, and don't start happening all too often to point where it becomes spam. (Although you already knew that didn't ya eh eh?) LMAO
I can't add much to this thread, as i find it pretty pointless, may as well be entitled 'me spitting my dummy out' as that all it symbolises.
_whatever_ if you have a question regarding a deletion of a thread, feel free to use the contact us! I myself will be asking why it was deleted (i didn't realise) although i'm sure there is a total legitimate reason for it's removal, normally some numpties have to start getting personal on it, and can't keep a debate constructive.

Fair Play.
I feel its more to do with the way YOU and YOUR posts have been treated rather than it just being the fact that ROFLLLLLLLLLL and PMSLLLLLLLLLLLLLL annoys you tho.
I CAN see where your coming from in a way, but maybe what you think isnt worth the effort of an LOL actually has others in stitches (Im a prime example, as i pmsl at me self for nothing but we wont go there!)
How about this:
Could Someone with a little authority inform us WHY strong worded, well constructed, debatable threads of some get removed...yet silly posts containing the very over-used ROFL / LMAO / PMSL get kept??

I can clearly see whatever's points. If you are a regular user of internet forums then view say the general chat thread here, you must think "????????"
Most of the time, the reason threads with meaningful, constructive posts get deleted or capped is that they get too heated to let carry on.
I do see your point as to so-called "meaningless" posts. Perhaps staff should be tougher on fun posts that have no relevance to the thread they are in. Of perhaps its those kind of posts etc. that make these forums what they are. who knows lol

Paula, your voice has every relevance to any topic. It's the users who make this site what it is, it's called funkypool for a reason, we all help make it funky, look how many people enjoy using our forums, look how much fun we all get from it, and that's what it's all about in my opinion!
12:51 Fri 13 Jul 07 (BST) [Link]
Yep i dont see too much of a problem with the forums at the moment. Aslong as the "fun" posts dont get to a point that they send new users away.
As i have stated before, all users, new and old, are of equal importance to us.

The site just needs to maintain a balance between fun and professionalism, which is doing well at the moment.

Text speak is very irritating in my opinion, why not just spell what your trying to say properly? Ahh that can't happen because quite a few text phrases contain swearing

Actually i do see the point here. Or not the point so to speak. I do think that people who simply say 'good morning' or 'how are you' in one post come across as people who just want their post count up (for whatever reason) and is technically spam in a none-intentional way. Afterall, isn't that what msn is for? Or just logging onto the server to chat instantly?
IMO, i think it's fine as long as it it kept to the one thread. Also on a few sites on the net they usually have a forum dedicated to just general chat (that allow guests too) where you can post as you wish. However they do not generate any result such as a post count or placed on your recent posts page.
There are much worse posts about, especialy those dat r in txt spk so u cant understand wat da hell dey r talkin bout n make ur eyes squint (and shake in squeezy's words) also wid lil gramma that it seems like 1 big sentence that u get so bored wiv u need not wish 2 read da forums anymore coz of the irritating txt. innit.

Whatever, i think, just wants either:
Other people to STOP exaggarating the letters ROFL/PMSL/LMAO etc etc....
OR
To be able to use txt speak!!!
Farren, Yes MSN is for instant chat..BUT (and Dr Lovepump can vouch for me on this one seeing as my MSN was in a funny mood last night!) What is you cant sign in?..and what if (Like Orchid on here yesterday) You cant log into the game server? Thats how i got addicted to posting in the first place!!
That said...it IS pointless having posts that only say "Hi / Hello / Morning"...but some ppl want to be polite but dont want a full blown convo on a forum.

Everything has its place.
Obviously constant 2-3 word posts and txt speak are out of place on the queries forum, but "wd m8" is a perfectly acceptable post on game shouts if someone just won their first tourney, or "ROFL " on a jokes thread, or "morning all" on general chat.
One mans spam is another mans steak...

yeh exactly. make it so the general thread doesnt add to ur post count and itll be fair.
they seem to think getting so many posts is some sort of achievement. ive never really seen em play the game. and a few are mods - not really setting a good example.
