yeh ive noticed the average funkypool poster on these forums seems to speak like this

etc etc. not only is it annoying as hell, but we're expected to not txt speak, and they can exaggeratly laugh over summit barely worth a lol?

Though i would like to post a couple of my favourite paragraphs from the forum posting rules:

Do not post in ALL CAPITALS as this is considered shouting by many users.

In my opinion if they use this "exagerrated" Text speak, which i will be honest with saying that i have seen it many times. As long as it isn't constant spamming...and if they do have a point to follow, i'm ok with it.

But...if someone is just using posts to say "LMAO ROFLLLLLLLLLLL!!!" then that isn't ok by my standards.

doesnt settle with me. replacing 'you' with 'u' is pretty much normal nowdays, i didnt use to do it.. but now it just comes naturally. people get the jist, so i dont think it matters as much.
and while im on the subject, that general thread is getting pretty damn annoying.. its just general talking, which if you actually signed on the game, youd discuss anyway. thats what PMs are for.

You know the way people say using caps is classed as shouting? well i think the 'EXTRA' letters on the word PMSL and LMAO just sort of clarify they are (The ppl who post them) are laughing longer or louder!!

i dont read it. ive read it once, but the thing is i cant help but miss it.
some people make some decent threads, and they just get bumped down by that crappy general thread which defeats the point of logging on the game and chatting.

eh? this is the only thread ive made and its got much more attention than i expected.
the thing that annoys me is the majority of users here would rather have pathetic immature people posting ROFL, than a proper discussion. take my big brother racism post for example.. got deleted, ive no idea why. it was well constructed and took alot of effort. whereas being immature is allowed here. theres no logic. its unfair treatment.

Fair Play.
I feel its more to do with the way YOU and YOUR posts have been treated rather than it just being the fact that ROFLLLLLLLLLL and PMSLLLLLLLLLLLLLL annoys you tho.

I CAN see where your coming from in a way, but maybe what you think isnt worth the effort of an LOL actually has others in stitches (Im a prime example, as i pmsl at me self for nothing but we wont go there!)


How about this:
Could Someone with a little authority inform us WHY strong worded, well constructed, debatable threads of some get removed...yet silly posts containing the very over-used ROFL / LMAO / PMSL get kept??

I think everone has good points, however : i think that the general chat thread is supposed to be lighthearted and a place for people to meet and have a laugh and a place for those to chat who can't get onto the game itself, whereas other threads are intended for queries etc and you wouldn't expext to see ROFL or PMSL on those.

You think correctly Orchid..but then me being the VERY first person to post on Gen Chat AFTER the creator of the thread am gunna be biased!..
