And what an ending! I wonder what the odds were for that to happen were?

False hope, it wont happen.
Given the huge ramifications of disqualifying the drivers, it is thought likely that a different penalty will be applied, perhaps citing the precedent of the 1995 Brazilian GP, when constructors? but not drivers? points were deducted.

I think if the other teams cheating meant that Lewis didn't beat them, then they should be disqualified, whether it decides the championship or not.
Although I think what they've been cited for needs looking into in more detail, anyone know what the other teams have actually done?
If the decision is over-turned and Lewis does win, I will feel sorry for Kimi, but rules are rules.

When their cars were checked after the race, the temperature of the fuel had a greater then 10 degree difference than the ambient temp.

In racing terms what does that mean? Did that make them 13 seconds faster than Hamilton?

Mclaren need to get a grip, is this really how they want to win a championship??
They are looking for revenge after they were DQ'ed from constructor championship, and just sore that Ferrari stole both titles from them.
I'm a Mclaren fan, but is there really a need for this?

If the other two cars have beat Hamilton through cheating then there's every need to do this. Why am I the only one that see's that?
However if the cars haven't performed any better due to this anomally then I agree, no need to appeal.
(I still think Ferrari fitted Mclaren up and F1 has become some what dramatised)

Hamilton was actually catching them most of the race, it's just that he made a 3rd pit stop that put the fork in it.

the abnormality in fuel temperatures could mean the three drivers possibly gained a second over the whole race..
much as id like to see hamilton win it- it aint gonna happen... this year anyway

Well a second over the whole race isn't worthy is it?
I think Kimi has been so unlucky in other championships that he perhaps deserves this one, even if it is at the expense of Hamiltons misfortunes!

It is estimated that it might have given them ONE extra horsepower! Which, when you are talking about 800+bhp cars, would probably mean less than a second over the whole race!
But these minor rule breeches are pretty common. Lewis Hamilton was under investigation at brazil also, though it wasnt the race day. Something to do with the types of tires he was using.

I think it would matter more if Hamiltons car never slowed down in the early stages.

Maybe Dave, but we can't live on them!
He has a long career ahead of him, and I don't think he's that bothered, obviously he is, but you get what I'm saying, I think he's so self assured that he'll bounce straight back.
See how Lewis was straight there shaking Kimi's hand? Did you see Alonso do that?

Even Hamilton has said that he wants to win the championship, though not thanks to other teams being disciplined and causing someone from another team to lose out.
