better show of respect to massa to have schueys experience
especially as he brought Massa to ferrari and was sort of mentoring him
long live the king

New oldest driver? Maybe for this season but not ever
He ain't nowhere near the oldest driver in Formula 1. Louis Chiron was 55 years 292 days old when he raced in the 1955 Monaco Grand Prix.
Jaime Aguersauri was the youngest driver in Formula 1 in Hungary, beating a 29 year record held by New Zealand's Mike Thackwell by 57 days.
And Luigi Fagioli holds the record for oldest winner, aged 53 years 22 days old.
And modern era, Nigel Mansell was still racing when he was 41

Sad that the media calls this a comeback, but it's sporting by Shumi by all means to risk his name and status by taking Felipe's seat until he's back. More than likely we're talking about the rest of the reason.
Can't say I wish him all the best tho - I rather hope Raikonnen beats him badly (since they are running the same car).
IF McLaren indeed has gotten their stuff together, shumi vs hamilton should be no match at all.

i think he is making a big mistake coming back

Well, he has everything to lose and nothing to gain, and I frankly think he's more than wise enough to know this himself.
Therefore it's important to understand that this is not to be considered a comeback in terms of Schumi trying to make himself a winner again. It's a comeback in terms of filling a vacant seat until Massa is back in business. Two entirely different things - although media will never understand (or want to understand) that difference.
I can't help but feel it's a sporting gesture - in fact this gains him a bit more respect from my side - not that he had much in the first place

It will please the ferrari fans who've had little to cheer about, regardless of the results he gets
i dont expect him to be winning many races(if at all) but i think he can give it a decent go and help ferrari gain pit position for next season

To be fair, Shumacher knows the car inside out because his the test driver for it, so he knows how to use it when to use it... his the most experienced driver in GP nowso i personally think he will prove alot of doubters wrong

lol
If he completes the rest of the season (7 races), he will tie with Riccardo Patrese as the second most experienced driver in the history of Formula 1. Behind Rubens of course

I'm hoping Massa will be set for next season.
I think the extent of the injury should rule him out of the season simply for safety reasons.
What happens if something else hits his helmet in the same spot? (long shot i know but weirder things have happened!)

He is a technical consultant, not a test driver. He has (officially at least) 0 laps in that car, a car which is radically different than any car he has driven before.
I'm sure he'll cope more or less ok, but it's nothing one should take for granted. And if he does do well he certainly deserves credit for it.
