Boring race last night.
Waste of time getting up to watch it.

Anyone seen the new advertising things on ITV, what a joke!!!
They must be in love with McLaren.

Agreed on the adverts, but you have to admit, the race had its moments

You forget, Spinner. Ferrari took no 'real' part in the race (other than spinning and smashing about) so Dave is a little annoyed!

Hopefull Dave will be like this every race......

I'm wondering if this is going to a sign of things to come, reliability issues and all. If they are then I think McLaren have every chance of sweeping the board! Lets watch the next few races in anticipation......

I just figure I may as well enjoy it while it lasts!

Ferrari don't normally have reliability issues, doubt very much there will be any more problems for them!

Good news for Honda that Ross Braun is with them now! Hopefully a sign of things to come!

Yeh i saw that John, that's a good thing for them, might be able to get a few points this year!

Sebastian Bordais in the Toro Rosso done great on that race though, especially considering what car he was in!

Hope he can take Toro Rosso to great heights as well.

Funny how the Toro Rosso is running a Ferrari engine, and it blew with a few laps to go......

Yeah Bordais done a great job, Vettle is also one who's an up and comer!

I think it's about time Button started to win some races, hopefully this can happen in a few years time with Braun on board.

I agree.
Though he is pushing the age gap a bit.

Just like yourself John!

(Your only as old as you feel?)

Many a good driver has drove at 30........ In fact I believe Bordais is 29? Or there abouts! When's the next race? :-S

Yep Hamilton is quickest in Fridays second practice with Button in fourth. Hopefully this is good guide to the weekend ahead

Everyone happy with the BBC getting the rights to broadcast it from 2009? I most certainly am

They won't show them live though will they? They never did back in the 90's.

If they do, it's great because we won't miss anything from the stupid breaks they have on ITV.

Didn't know that. Lets hope they learn from their mistakes, then everyone wins

Hmm... judging by practice, it's looking like a boring silver and red podium might be on the cards.

Lets hope mistakes/reliability problems mix things up a bit again (and hopefully get Rosberg another podium). Might be nice to see McLaren have a bad race on sunday (by that I mean Heikki not Lewis).

Hoping for better than 10th and 12th for my Williams boys tomorrow.

I think Heikki had a bad race in Australia (as in unlucky)! Don't be wishing bad things on McLaren....GIT!

Williams are a spent force at the moment....... Maybe things will start to improve as they've got the drivers for it!

Don't you think ITV have brought F1 forward though? All the technical stuff is explained in a way that a lamen can easily understand. I just hope BBC keep that aspect, and also make it live with Pit commentators bugging everyone before the race!

Haha. I just like to see things nice and close at the top (preferrably with someone other than McLaren and Ferrari getting in the mix). It gets boring when the top 4 is nothing but red and silver every race.

Yeah, shame about Williams. The problem is money. These were the estimated budgets for 2006 (don't have more recent figures, although I have heard $500m mentioned for Ferrari and $700m for Toyota):

McLaren - $400m
Toyota - $393m
Honda - $382m
BMW - $378m
Ferrari - $329m
Renault - $300m
Red Bull - $201m
Williams - $134m

Given those figures, it's a massive achievement to be where they are. If they can compete with Toyota/Honda etc now, they're looking in good shape for when the FIA introduce the budget cap in 2009.

ITV's F1 coverage is leagues ahead of what BBC's used to be. BBC generally do a good job with sports coverage these days though, so hopefully they won't make a mess of F1.

Was that the most boring race ever of what!??

Hamilton was unlucky again........... he drove without water for some time though, good job he's a fit lad.

Typically good drive from the champ. Massa; told ya! That boy ain't going places without traction control!

Obviously Kubica deserved drive of the day. Good stuff from him!

I agree John, Kubica was brilliant today,
Shame about Massa, my theory is that he was accelerating a wee bit more and hit a minor bump on the turn.

Good result for Raikkonen though!

im in agreement with ^ you two ^ on kubica
i think he drove his socks off to keep kimi to within 20secs? i think it was
was gutted when massa went off. being a ferrari fan he is my favourite of the two drivers. no doubting kimi's class however. the lap before his pit stop to get ahead of massa was brilliant
i have to admit ferrari were a tad fortunate though. Had hamilton's pit stop not been spoilt he may have bagged a few more points and put him and Mclaren a few more points clear in the championship. a wee smile across my face when i saw that happen
im still gunning for massa for the title

mrmagic, Massa hasn't started off well, he has 0 points from 2 races, compared to Hamilton, Raikkonen and Kovalainen, he's a bit behind.

I know it's early in the season, but he will have to win the next 2 races if he's got any chance to put himself in the scrap.
