Also (name removed), can you please keep this kind of thing of this thread, it is a serious thread which i would like to keep running, if you post this stuff with your bad language it will only result in this being capped.

Thank you.

That's good advice.

I'm sickened at the thought of young children having seen the posts i've removed, and i'm totally lost as to why somebody would post it on a public forum...

Lets keep things nice and civil, even if the world around us is sometimes the complete opposite!

Thanks for that pool!

To be honest it sickens me that people enjoyed watching his hanging. I feel this makes us no better than Saddam and his generals, a world with hate is a world without peace!

those posts before are literally disgusting, making jokes about him bouncing. i'm sorry but that is so very out of order. i don't care who has died, and how bad of a man he was. be humane and have some dignity. it is one thing to say you are glad he has ended his reign of tortue and terror, but who says things like "he looked lively" . thats just rude

Tell that to Bush and Blair!

The hanging of him wont make things better, will cause more violence if anything...

I say bring in PR, which forms a coalition government, and lets go from there

i'm gonna walk my way out of his thread because i'm not a fan of politics because i usually get real angry, but at the end of the day, it only takes one person to make a difference. if people are as bothered as they say they are.... as gandhi says "be the change you want to see" ... everyone can do something about the big picture. at the end of the day, the ultimate goal for the government is to keep the country running smoothly and provide rights and protection to the people.

edit; sorry i spelled his name wrong

IMO The governments role should be nothing more than enforcing the peoples will through a fair and equal constitution.
All finances should be taken care of by civil service. The civil service should be replaced with business people from a business background. The finances of the country should be dealt with similar to that of a corporation.
Now we would have minute comparative waste. Everyone who was just thinking 'what about social care?' you now have billions and billions more capital.

Do you guy's know how much yuo pay your parliament?

Then the state should create more state-owned companies. The money makers though. They should branch into insurance and the likes, kill the cartels and help the every day consumer. Make more money, charge less taxes? get some export enterprises going, make some money off other countries. Think of the capital a government has to reap!

Anyway, on day I'll write paper on it and I'll mail it to you all!

As a member I'm running out of char

I totally agree with Brighteyes here. I could rant for hours on a political thread, so i think i'll pass.

"be the change you want to see" - so very very true.

I saddens me that in this day and age of media propaganda, people are more inclined to blame the mouthpieces of government as if they actually really have "the power" - and forgetting that it is they themselves who have the power to change.

I understand the reasons why Blair and Bush are doing what they are doing, Sadamm Hussein was a seriously disturbed individual, can you imagine someone like that having possesion of weapons of mass destruction? Or a large amount of oil.
The one thing that bothers me is the whole 'globalisation' concept, i find it quite scary that the west tries to enforce a civil society concept on other nations, in one way it's a nice touchy feely attitude, 'we can be as one and work together for a better and more peaceful earth' but on the other hand the west is purely capitalist by nature. Enforcing our belief system on to other societies in my opinion is like a covert form of colonialism.

Your mum sounds like a typical politician to me stevo! lol

Of course Blair is in the wrong, he'll say he didn't know and someone else will take the fall for him though, tis' the way it always goes.

I know this might be a little of topic, but. The Diana trial has been one of mighty interest to me, i've followed lots of it and it seems to me the truth will never be let out, although now Alfayed has won his appeal he might be a little closer!

with the exception of iraq blair has actualy been a decent pm, his only real problem was his relationship with the u.s and there wars on anyone who is slightly different to them (nam korea guyana and nicaragua) the war on terror has realy replaced the war on comunism, so it was naive of blair to join in when british pms have spent the last 50 yrs avoiding these ridiculus and pointless conflicts. its no coincidence that americas best period economicly was 92 - 2000 the yrs between comunism and terrorism

My Dad works in Politics and he is a Conservative Agent. Sounds like he works for MI5 or something but it's like a footballer having Agents, but my Dad is a MP Agent. And from that, i learn alot about politics, but all I'm going to say is that the Conservatives should/will be in power next general Election. Labour have to do alot to make the public like them again IMO.

As do the conservatives! It's ok saying it, but do you really think a bunch of old miners and their sons are gonna vote for you guys, as well as alot of other disgrunted people who they buggad over? As for the whole hug a hoody idea, that's just stupid! And i think the Tories were all for the war in Iraq?? And terrorism?
