It really is, not to bark spinner's way but we really and truly need to get rid of the delete option.
People have their huff's and sulk's but they get over them and it's too late if they've already deleted.
To be honest I don't even agree with threads like this as they encourage it with a sympathy vote!

Why?

its a shame you cant have a 24 hour delay on deletion, when a player goes to delete account it gives you 24 hours to retract your decision, i deleted old account now pretty_woman has and look at derpotovski who deleted by mis-stake what a great player he was

i get bored easily of my names you no that peter why save decent names for my self when i ain't goin to use them in the future.

before i created my 1st 2 names (cinders and emma_85) i went through quite a number of names that i wanted and were not available even thought they had created and played 2 games if not none at all. hence y if i am not playing on a name id prefer it to be deleted.

If we want to carry on this convo can we create a new thread i dont wanna get this thread to claire capped by me going off topic?

i dont no if this would be interesting but maybe a so called "retire/unactive" button?

so it is not an active name? maybe if this name is then asked to be created by another member a email may be sent to the original owner to see if they are wishing to keep the name. this would prevent the 5 years of names being stuck registered but never played on.
