This is really starting to annoy me now.

So i was just wondering if it would be better if instead of having a random shot then perhaps ball in hand?

Also i think you should be logged out or lose the game after 3 successive random shot time penaltys!

I'd really quite like nick to comment on this, or maybe a mod/admin as i think this does really need changing!

And actually pooman, i think you will find a majority of funkypools rules and changes have come from members suggestions so maybe you might wanna think before you speak!

No spinner i feel this is something that is important, i did look for the thread that you have provided us with but didn't manage to find it.

Either way i think something needs to be done because with the new table(s) a random shot can cause you more of a difficulty and hinder your game!

I agree with what 1_eye said as well, also means if someone has a carry, then random shot, effectively they aren't penalised (unless the white is potted) as its still their shot afterwards, while i sit there waiting for a minute or 2 for them to play a shot. Give us ball in hand!!

I disagree 1_eye. I like the random shot. A shot in hand loses you the game against a good player. That's a bit harsh for missing one shot because your phone rang/doorbell rang/daughter smacked you round the head with a portable speaker*.

I have no real opinion on 3 or 5 shot dismissal. Most games will be over, or serious damage done after three, so I don't see that it matters.

In a rare moment, i agree with Martin. The random shot is supposed to replace that players shot, if it pots something or even wins the game for them, then surely any half decent player would have done that anyway so nothings lost.

As i said on the other thread, i've lost tourney finals to random shots! LOL!

Its already a 5-shot dismissal, the suggestions of a time limit (total 60 secs the dismissed) or reducing it to 3 seemed fine to me, but then a lot of players play longer slow games, whilst working on *whatever* etc..

If you dont like waiting, do what i do and only play 10 sec games - and join the campaign for quick games too!
