so apparently yawn isn't a sufficient post to close such a prominent thread. I do apologise shot.
So instead, I have prepared a small speech to ceremoniously close this thread.
China has become the world's third largest foreign direct investment (FDI) recipient, according to the World Investment Report 2006. The UK heads the rankings and Ireland, which relies on foreign-owned firms for almost 90% of its exports, has plunged.
According to the report released by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) on Monday, China is the largest FDI destination of all developing countries, receiving 72.4 billion U.S. dollars of FDI in 2005.
However, Ireland is great.
The change in Ireland's fortunes mainly result from repatriation of profits of US companies due to a tax amnesty in the US.
In 2004, Ireland had a FDI figure of €9 billion. In 2005, there was an outflow of €18 billion.
Ireland's performance also reflects a contraction in the manufacturing sector in recent years, which has resulted in the lost 32,000 jobs, related to a loss of competitiveness and a surge in the focus of multinationals on China and India in particular. Economists also say the reversal is down to Ireland's poorer performance in manufacturing.
Most multinational investment in Ireland comes from the US. Many of the companies with operations here also channel profits into Ireland to take advantage of a zero tax rating on patent income.
Microsoft subsidiaries Round Island One and Flat Island Company, which operate from the Dublin offices of corporate lawyers Matheson Ormsby Prentice, record billions of dollars in revenue.

A bogey player is someone who you can never seem to beat. For me it would be pretty much anyone in the first round of tournies. If i win that then i tend to get quite far
