I realise with the amount of mods there are there will be some times when there are none available. But recently the members bar has become completely out of control when there are no mods present. The amount of idiots seems to be increasing rapidly. Also, this is a touchy subject, but i have sent alot of chatlogs and seen nothing done. I know im gonna get the usual ''each complaint is dealt with'' chat, but it really doesnt appear to be so at the moment.

Yes this really is starting to annoy me as well boys, might start going on funkysnooker alot more as this is just getting worse by the day. Somethink really needs to be done about this, ive sent complaints and nothing gets done i dont even get an e-mail back.

It's not possible at the present time to have moderator coverage 24 hours a day. The site is free, and all the staff give what time they can for free, so the resources are not in place to make this possible.

Scaley, i banned somebody as a direct result of a chat log you sent recently, basically highlighting another member’s racist behaviour. If nothing were being done this simply would not have been the case. I know you said you've sent a lot of complaints, but not every complaint we receive will justify the banning of a particular account.

We're in the process of enlarging the moderator team, but as you can probably understand these things take time. The positive side to this step could mean a better chance of chat room coverage, but until then i would suggest using the ignore feature or send complaint (like you have).

Thanks for the reply pool_life. As i say i understand the problem of full coverage. Can i just highlight though, using today as an example. There were no mods present in the members between 1 and half 2, when all the trouble was going on. I can understand there being no mods on in the early hours of the morning, but over one of the days busiest times (ie lunchtime)? This does happen reasonably often.

The main reason for this though, is to try and convey how big a problem it is. As mods rarely see the full extent of such trouble due to people being able to see when a mod is present. Perhaps a touch of undercover work would enlighten.

All of us mods have lives you know, we aren't robots who sit in front of the computer all day ;). But on a serious note we can't cover all day and night because not only would our coffee supplies be seriously drained, our eyes kazunked, we will also be seriously tired and no one likes a grouchy mod.

We all give a few hours of our day to try and help this site be as friendly as you expect it to be and we enjoy sorting out problems as we know how some people cant spoil it for the majority. All we can ask is either use the ignore button or send a complaint and it will be dealt with!

Ive tryed sending an complaint plenty of times and i get nothing back.

Edit - I will also be a mod when my 3 months are up and i will tr and get online quite alot.

Stevo- making suggestions that we should make people a moderator doesn't do anyone any favours, especially the people who you are suggesting should be. Any topics created or comments about somoene saying they should be a moderator will hinder the persons chances.
