I do think it depends on the individual for age but for the most part, 18 is a more appropriate age..

Think some people missed a bit in my post:

It would only affect new applicants!

We have some very good mods under 18 years old... but we could up the requirements as we're not desperate for new mods.

Why up requirements when the site doesn't need new moderators?
