Just wondering, having to be 16 to be a moderator, we been doing bout this sorta stuff in PSE at skl. Isnt it age discrimination or is it u just dont want any stupid lil kids to be mods?

I think its 16 because people have 'matured' by then, and can handle situations a lot better than say, a 13 year old could. I'm only guessing there though matey.

lol, i have been told that i am 4 years advanced in my brain.. there is a grammar school bout 15miles from me, i passed the 11+ and got that schools best results for 10years. go me lol!

That rule has been there since you have been able to apply so can't see any exceptions being introduced, sorry if you really want it you will have to wait

... after all Mods are there to enforce the rules, so therefore must respect them

lol yer.. i am willing to wait that long because i really like this game, i have become obsessed with it, partly because of me having OCD (obsessive complusive disorder) lol.

Completely agree. I'm sure there are people under the age restriction who could do a good job, there has been in the past. However for every user how could do the job well there are many who couldn't. Above 16 the same applies but the number who couldn't would be closer to the number who can.

This makes sorting through applicants quicker and easier. It may seem unfair to some younger users, however the ones that would be suitable are more than likely prepared to wait.

yer, but i suppose some people might pretend to be over 16 when i am happy to wait those 4 years to improve my game play!

I reckon there's the type of ppl you have to deal with too pot.

I know that under-16's know every swearword and nasty innuendo in the book anyway, but it's probably a social responsibility not to deliberately expose them to it.

Mods can't use the 'ignore' facility obviously, and because they are a mod sometimes get PM barrages of some pretty vile abuse. Most ppl wouldn't want their 12 yr old daughter (for example) put in that position.

I think you will make a great mod pot, but I think that the 16+ rule is a fair one for all of the various reasons mentioned above.

yer, but im sure there would be no harm in it, im sure my mum has heard me saying bad stuff enough times when ive not been happy, nd no its not me being a little nightmare and annoying her on purpose. I have aspergers syndrome, its a form of autism.. and everytime i tell somebody that i have tourettes they think it is vocal, AND ITS NOT! so now nobody will have to ask that!

On a legal point, think about age limits for drinking, movies etc etc!

Seriously though, have been considering upping the requirements to 18 years and 6 months playing time (for new mods).
