Wales are World Champions !!!! This is pure class, only this year have Wales been a full-time member of the sevens circuit and they have won the World Cup ! Not bowl, not shield, not plate, but CUP !!!

They beat, NZ, Samoa and Argentina in one day, what an amazing effort !

Great stuff this year in the 7s circuit!

Well done Wales.

The form book has really been upset this year. England joint top leaders, Wales beating big teams and winning. African teams challenging!

If only they'd show it on normal TV. If only the Olympics would add it to their rosta.

If you go on the IRB website, which I'm guessing most people posting on here do, there's a petition to get 7s added as an Olympic sport. Considering the positive impact the sport has I'm flabbergasted it hasn't been added as yet. 7s is giving African teams a platform to start from - it's because of 7s that there might be African teams in the WC soon.

It's also bloody good to watch!!

Big weekend of Rugby!

Tigers went top of the Premiership last night with a hard fought win over Bristol. We didn't have any 1st/2nd team forwards, was a real swap shop of a team - but we cam good in the end!

I think it's an obvious weekend. Ireland will beat Scotland by 13. Wales will beat Italy by a good 25 points. The only shock could be England beating France - however if we get the France which beat Wales I think it will be unlikely.

I think if we don't get a player sent-off it'll be result!

Scotland always have one good game in them. It aint happened yet, I hope it's today, and i got a feeling Ireland might have a scare. And Scotland owe us a result after 1999

Wals vs Italy, I'm very nervous. 9 changes, away to a fired up Italian team, and we have to win by like 100 points if we want a chance in this tournament, meaning they might forget they need to win the dam game first. Very nervous about the game, but hoping we can pull off an emphatic win.

Tomorrow I really hope England will beat France, they deserve it, they were pants, but they are improving and playing their hearts out, and I really hope thy can pull it off so they don't get smashed by the media, they rally have given their all this tournament, just lack creative play.

Bring on 2:30 !!

I don't think England have lacked creative play at all. Just discipline. IN fact it's quite nice to be able to sit here and say that England have threw the ball round the park alot more than usual.

We were even running the ball out the 22 against Wales! :-P
(Not that it helped.....)

The Ireland game was silly of course. England should of kept the ball more, but Ireland were playing the game too so it was a no-brainer.

Italy won't turn Wales over. They look awful. They have big forwards, but their backs look un-inspired. The Welsh strength in depth will shine through today. Some call this Welsh squad chosen a 'B' team - most top International sides would love to have that depth. I do however think Gough will be hugely missed, he won the game against England!
(Assuming he isn't starting, guessing he'll be on the bench)

Will be interesting to see the Hook, Roberts and Henson link. I think they will bulldoze through this Italian line!

Hope England can do a favour for Wales/Ireland. Think it's about time this Irish side won a Grand Slam!

I think best team in the Northern Hemisphere is a bit strong, I mean you only just beat a poor England in Ireland!

I still think Wales are the better team this side of the world. I know they didn't look it yesterday but I think Italy were good, as well as Wales making mistakes.

Scotland looked good for a bit yesterday, was hoping they'd pull off a shock win, would be a good decider in Cardiff.

At least it'll still be a cracking game. Ireland going for the Grand Slam. Will they piddle it again? Forth time lucky is it? (I forget)

Anyhow it's been a long time coming, they are by far the best under-achievers the professional game has ever seen.

Big game today for England. It was never going to be England's year, having to travel to the three big teams. Obviously the ill-discpline is a major downfall of the tournement. I dread to think if it would of been England trying for a Grand Slam if we'd held ourselves better, but it's not, instead we're fighting it out for the wooden spoon. (Assuming we lose today that is)

Pfft Wales struggled to beat Italy, second team or not, they should be hammering them like we did

We'll prove we're better than them in Cardiff, you'll see!

Should be a good one today, France might still feel they can win the championship, whereas England have nothing to play for, so should make for an expansive game, a game which both teams are more than capable of playing!

Wales are playing poor, but winning. They will make around 10 changes to play Ireland, Ireland probably wont make any, so Wales will be the fresher. Just remember that yesterday we did have a second choice pack out and an outside centre who has never played there before and Henson who just hasn't played.

I don't care what anyone says, but Ireland have had all the luck in the world, just like us in previous years when we win a grand slam, you got that bounce of the ball and that kinda momentum that is hard to stop. So I can see you sneaking it going by form.

But, and it is a massive but. Not many teams come and win in Cardiff nowa days, we still have a triple crown to go for, and to lose only one game in two championships in two years, against France in Paris, is one hell of an achievment, so they will want this just as much.

Aslong as the Irish team is as confident as you, Niall, I'll be happy. This Welsh team have been shocking in attack and due a good game, Saturday could be the game we click, and we might even get the championship out of it. Highly unlikely though, we are playing pants

But don't under-estimate the Welsh in Cardiff !! People were worried to do that when we were crap, I would advice not to do it while we are a rather good team

Not going to be an issue in my opinion. Ireland have shown over the last four games that they have the legs to play for the full 80 minutes when other teams start to fall away in the last 10. Superior fitness is one of the trademarks of any Declan Kidney side.
Saying that, I'm still a bit nervous. It all seems a little too good to be true, coming so soon after our pathetic World Cup attempt. It's probably just my Irish inferiority complex kicking in.

We will make at least 2 changes - the beast Heaslip will come back in for Leamy, and Flannery will come back in for Best. Stringer did enough to retain his place in the starting line-up I reckon, slow-ball O' Leary should stay on the bench! D'arcy will keep his place too. But yeah I can accept that it's going to take a huge performance to beat Wales in Cardiff, but I'm still extremely confident we will. Have all my match predictions right so far from start of tournament, hopefully that continues

They can play for the full 80, but they got a 7 day turn-around after a brutal game. Wales will make lots of changes, and the ones who keep their place were not involved in a brutal game, not to th Irish vs Scots level anyway. And, Wales are probably the fittest team in this championship, and by quite a distance Really it's just common sense, and definitely something in our favour.

We need to win by 13 points, it's certainly achievable, I mean look at England right now ! All good to give the Irish a few nervous thoughts

France are Woeful today though aint they? I have never ever seen such a poor French team. England doing well though, some individuals certainly putting their hands up for the Lions

What a first half performance from England, 29-0 up at half time and job done. 34-10, shame we didn't win to 0, but thrashed France.

Shame Flood is injured, played better with him in that Goode in my opinion.
