Did you know The Duke Of Wellington (Sir Arthur Wellesley) is not English!
He was in fact an Irishman, born in Dublin in 1769 into the Wesley family, he changed his name to Wellesley because it sounded grander!
And also a famous quote he didn't say is 'the battle of waterloo was won on the playing fields of eton.' This is in fact a work of propaganda by a french historian, also when Wellington went to Eton there was no playing fields, and he was a pupil noted for his lack of enthusiasm for games!
How interesting is that! Well ok maybe not!

Goldfish don't have a memory of 3 seconds, it is in fact around 3 months memory span!
And roman emperors ordered the deaths of gladiators with a thumb up, not down as we have been led to believe!
My book goes on for ages! You might wanna cap this cause i'm just gonna carry on!

Sarcasm is sneering, jesting, or mocking a person, situation or thing. It is strongly associated with irony, with some definitions classifying it as a type of verbal irony intended to insult or wound -- stating the opposite of the intended meaning, e.g. using "that's amazing" to mean "that's awful". It is used in a humorous manner, often harshly, and is expressed through vocal intonations such as over-emphasizing the actual statement or particular words. Use of sarcasm is sometimes viewed as an expression of concealed anger or annoyance.
Origins
The word comes from the late Latin word, sarcasmus, which, in turn, comes from the Greek sarkasmos, from sarkazein - to bite the lips in rage,- from sarx, sark-, flesh - the root word literally means "to cut a piece of flesh (from the targeted person)."
Just for you John

While on the subject of hippos, when a hippo yawns it is in fact letting out a load of bacteria which warns any potential threats away! They only have 4 teeth made from ivory. And they also kill more people in African than any other animal!
Now how intersting is that?
