yea martin a re-spot sounds good. but is it really worth all the hassle for a golden break?

as you put it, players that have 100+ golden break are worse than their ranking suggests.

were golden breaks ever rewarding when you do them?
from now on, try a run-out, or a seven balling, these are a lot harder to do and are a lot more rewarding.

Golden Breaks, using the shot fccmike found, are no more rewarding than potting the white straight into a pocket!

The re-spot idea is definitely preferable to a re-rack, for the reasons you stated.

The re-spot code is already there for when the white goes down in 9ball so it shouldn't be too hard to impliment.

I don't think the rule should be changed at all for normal games. Personaly i'm well chuffed when I manage one and congratulate others when they do one against me.

However in tournaments I think that it can be a little harsh if you get knocked out due to your opponent doing one and perhaps the re-spot idea could be used for tournament games only.

even better squeezy, anyone would be extremely gutted if they lost in the final of a tourny on a golden break.

is it just me or is the golden break become a massive problem?

I've won a semi final by doing one before, however he had just made it 1-1 by doing one

Then in the final i was 1-0 down to yet another golden break lol

Was still a good tournament though

I don't think that they are a problem in friendly or ranked games and the new leaving game rule has stopped the one shot wonders. Just can see how it may be unfair in tournys.

It's not really a massive problem, and for most users its a part of the game that they don't have a problem with at all.

yea line6, i can safetly say that i agree with you.
only i wasnt put out in the final, it was the semis, which is even more frustrating for me, because i have only ever been in 3 finals, making one of them count in 9 ball.
