Nope. There have been a couple of cases of sporting legends being executed, and one of those was Joe Gaetjens who scored the goal for the USA in their 1-0 defeat of England in the 1950 World Cup. He was from Haiti, and he went back there afterwards, but in 1964 the secret police arrested him (and thousands others) and he hasn't been seen since.
Emmmm... yes, although I dunno if you've stand trial for it nowadays.
Extra info: his crime was something he said, and during his trial he committed the offence again in front of everyone, and that was him screwed.
Nope

he wasnt royalty, he was male, as far as we all know he didnt live in the 1800's tho you can never say never with Jesus
He wasnt a sporting legend that we know of ( i heard he could throw a shotput FAR>...)
I doubt that the crime he commited would get him executed nowadays except maybe in some middle east countries and he isnt william wallace
It wasnt an equal oppurtunities statement he made but what he said did involve himself and from your clue that "this is a good one" im guessing it is the Son Of God

His statement was that he was the Son of God or something... and while he was being heard in the Sanhedrin, a few false witnesses were called but they couldn't get them to agree. The case was close to being thrown out until they asked him directly and he was accused of blasphemy. No more witnesses were needed, they had heard it for themselves. Ultimately he ended up crucified for it.
And there was a question about royalty. Well he was known as King of the Jews, hmmmm!
Jesus Christ, whose birthday is Christmas Day, is the correct answer, and mmt it's your go!
