Have a strong password, not just numbers and letters e.g E4%g'@8*

I think you're allowed any characters in your password anyway.

Maybe not since you can only have lower case letters, numbers and underscores!

Maybe nick should make it so you can use any character in a password.

One major weakness is in your validation e-mail address, If this were accessed then the funkypool account may also be accessed. Make sure your secret question is difficult and you never give the answer to any user. Eg, what your pets name is, street you grew up on etc.
Never use your funkypool password for league sites and other sites created by users of funkypool.

You can't get to pool through email, the validation email makes you log in after and after you have validated your account it says it's already validated, i think anyway.

No funkypool account has ever been hacked... if you're worried about internet security do not use Hotmail (as the security question is an easy entry to the account), use good passwords (not based on words) and ensure you don't click "remember id" on any shared computer.

Another thing to remember is not to go for obvious patterns... !P"O£I$U%U^Y may look nice and random, but try typing it ;-)

well dont worrie about it if your not a professional and you dont make a fool of yourself all the time lol then you wont be up for attack so basically play crap cause i think the hackers are only targeting players with lots and lots of torny wins lol!

and i think nick should create a double identity! opn funkypool where if you do get hacked and you can prove it... then there is a backup copy just in case i think this is a good idea! and should be put in the future list!

It doesn't matter who people target, there's never been a funkypool account hacked succesfully!

Use common sense when using the internet, don't give out personal details to people you don't know (this includes funkypool staff - who will never ask for passwords or birthdates).

This is especially for users of free web based email like Hotmail. If people ask you for your pet's name or mother's maiden name there may be an ulterior motive!

Here are a few examples of a safe password, but the only problem is you need a photographic memory to remember them!

Seriously though guys, all it takes is a bit of imagination to come up with a password that would be pretty hard to guess. Combine that with keeping your personal details secure and you're laughing!

i'm sure even if your password was 6 characters long it would be safe!

As nick said no-one has EVER been hacked, what dont you understand about that?
