Ok, i dont know how any posts above could be off topic, as the topic (clear of the initial name-and-shame) is about people using PM windows and the chat system to put people off.

Can someone explain how it isnt helpful to point out to people that the PM window doesnt have to be a distracton?

Another help in the distraction issue, would be to be able to ignore all chat in the game window.

I mention it to most people i play, and only rarely does anyone say the PM window appears in front of the game.

And Martin, thanks for backing me up and obviously the chat window is opened when you check a players stats before a game, so yes in that circumstance its already there.

I was simply trying to help, since so many people think the window is meant to pop-up in front of the game window, when this is not the case.

Surely letting people know that they are being distracted needlessly is a good thing?

For info, it appears to be roughly 25% of people it appears to happen to (I ask almost everyone i play! LOL!)

But back to line6's point - this is being looked at by admin, since it is a big problem over on snooker (people leaving s preventing others getting a high break)

The general idea is that if someone leaves, you still get to play on till the end of your shot..

Not living up to your name there.. Naming and shaming isn't allowed.. Admin will hopefully remove this ASAP....

Know its a old thread, but when im playin anyone, the 1st thing i do to avoid this issues is click on them to pm them (but don't actually send anything) and then minimise it, that way even if they do pm me i cant see it until i choose to do so.

As for spinner, good for you man, and nice one for trying to work out a solution to a problem you don't have to suffer in the 1st place.
