just want to point out that i think its unfair on some people being picked on for no reason.

yes the problem is usually resolved when a moderator is there, but when they are not there, it is way out of line at times.

bullies are people who are insecure and feel the need to make themselves 'bigger' and they can do it on here as they can hide behind there PC and get no threat of a real comeback, In a face to face situation they probably wouldt even try it.

i dont think naming names is appropriate it will only sink us to their level, making a point for the scum bags to read is good enough and ne one who opposes the points above will expose themself as a bullie

The best thing would be for all those in the chat room at the time to put the 'bully' on ignore. Nobody wants to listen to the crap they usually spout off, so if nobody can see a word they're saying and nobody responds, they will soon get bored.

Also I am trying to develop a gamecode-cum-anti-personell-weapon that should automatically detonate other ppls keyboards in their faces if they type in any statements resembling "ur mum".

Not sure Funkypool will take on my new invention though. My methods have been described as a little disproportionately heavy-handed in the past.

I would look for a moderator if on the receiving end. We're always happy to come take a look, but obviously we can't take one persons word other another’s. If we see the abusive language you mention then we can deal with the situation.

If there are no moderators online, and you feel the language is unacceptable, you could always use the 'send complaint' feature. This way we receive the chat log and will take any action we feel might be necessary.

Then there’s the ignore feature. I find this feature one of the most useful, click once and wave your troubles goodbye.

But let's not forget that this is a minority we're talking about. The polite players far outweigh the abusive players in my experience, and funnily enough they also seem to be the most skillfull!

I believe a lot of todays problems could be solved by replacing jails and community service etc by a tv channel combining the mentality of the SAW films with Big Brother. Thus providing a self supporting, effective deterrent and suitable punishment regime all in one!

I was in main chat the other night along with Dodgy geezer and we both got abuse. i got called the usual erm names wot us girls get called and it was nasty racist remarks to Dodgey
There werent any mods visable online but i noticed a guest getting booted, is that the automated booting thing?? if it is, does that work on members too?? Cos didnt that night and it WAS a user giving abuse as well as the guest.

I had no idea that there's an auto-boot function. Is that true? Coz I see ppl swearing like troopers in chat rooms when no mods around, and none seem to get booted.

obviously the admins and moderators just cant take your word for it, unless there are multiple complaints about one user
