No one is in the position to promise you a moderating position (I'm hoping it was said as an optimistic encouragement).

The problem is not whether you'd make a good mod or not, the problem is we have specific rules in place for mod applicants that we can not break for any users or we'd be showing favouritism.

We can not and have not made any exceptions to these rules.
