im fully aware that youv all stoped reading by this point so theres no point me carrying on but im in my stride now so il just say one more thing

i know no ones going to pay any attention to this as iv not played enough games or won any tourneys but these are issues which need to be raised for the good of the site and for my good cos all this sectairianisms bloody iritating, and is the cause of all the worlds problems, this thinking that there is some reason that makes you better than someone else, and the amount of games youv played on a pool games simply pathetic

Surely the whole point of the tourneys is so newbies can play???

If not, why not just say the highest rank player has to win all the time!

Ok. Lets simplify this as its overloaded with assumptions of what various posters must be thinking in thier own head and not conveying as they type!

The way i see it : Newbie enters tourney, cant play worth a <whatever>, gets knowcked out in round one.

No problems there, makes for more rounds, therefore more fun.

Other extreme : Newbie enters and wins tourney. Excellent! good for them! maybe they got lucky but whats the problem? Maybe they are a pro under a new name? Still no problem, its the same player after all..

Therin lies the problem. There isnt one!

Every tourny there are 2 newbies playing each other and the games go for ever! thats my biggest problem with it - every other game finished and everybody waiting on 1 game of newbies for an extra 5 mins per round.

On the other hand it gives users the chance to play higher ranked players they wouldnt normally get to play.

you were all newbies once, and yes i do enter on newbies, and i think u shud because if you were a new player i think you would want to join in the fun

Newbies should definitely be allowed to play, but 1 point I would like to mention is that I think your ranking points should still increase/decrease in the tournament. The further on you go, the more points you win/lose. Any1 else think this is a good idea?

look at the end of the day newbies are needed because they could become the best players on the site and joing a tournie isnt gunna hurt people it allows you 2 gain game experence and at the reason this site was created (excuse me nick if im wrong) was a asfun place 4 all people 2 chat and play and not as a place where not allowing certain people to do certain things so 2 whoever started this thread NEWBIES R GUNNA PLAY NO MATTA WHAT U THINK (unless nick decides otherwise

hmmm i think the person who started this thread was actually thinking wat everyone thought about newbies entering tournys, unless the one who started it asked nick to exclude newbies from them then i will gladly be quiet
