I*
If they think they're good enough then I don't see why not.

In my opinion, no.
I know its a plus point of joining, but 100 games does not take a long time and it would cut out a lot of pros making more names and irritating people beyond believe.

Tournaments aren't ranked anyway, so it's not like it's affecting their rank.

if you've played under 100 games maybe you shouldn't be able to join tournys as tournys should be a treat and newbies have played less than 100 which means they are still guests to the site they also get on your nerves with there flukes.
agree?

i think that they shudn't really as, like ppl keep sayin pro players make new accounts and win the tourns when they've only won say 20 games, also if newbies couldnt enter wud make more space for the more "advanced" players (people hu av played over 100 games) to enter
thats my opinion neway lol

newbies should be allowed in my eyes it can take a while to play over 100 games and playing in tournaments helps you get to 100 games so they should be allwed

I think they should be allowed to, so what if a pro enters on a new name? If they didn't enter on that, they'd be on their other name and still beat you anyway.
Also new users to the site can access the tournies quicker which is more likely to keep them playing.
If players dont play a lot when they begin chances are they wont carry on playing for long. The ones who get hooked from the start will possibly keep playing for longer and help raise the standard of gameplay.
Based on that not allowing newbies to enter the tournaments will make the site worse, so its a bad idea in my opinion.

If your going to win the tourny it shouldn't matter, u'll have the 1st frame to figure out how good they are.
If a pro plays badly against you, it means you didn't get what you thought you were up against. You've gotta have it both ways

I've lost to a fair few...but i've entered tournies on a 2nd name as well. I try to play a few games 1st tho...so if the opponent wants to see how good i am they could look at my profile and see wins 15 losses 0 or sumthin like that.

i can see where all of you are coming from but onli just advanceing in rank from a newbie i think that they should be allowed 2 join tournies however if nick introduced a ip checkin type thing surely that would stop pros on a new name from entering and destroying people this would also solve the problem of users who have been banned 4 a spefic amount of time coming back on 2 the site and annoying admin/mods/members this is just my thoughts destroy them if u wish i dont mind lol

I actually like playing newbies, if im in a tournament and i get a big name i think 'oh no thats me out' it affects my game because i automatically think im going to lose, playing newbies or a user that you dont know is fun as you dont know what to expect. After all its supposed to be fun, if the no entry to tournaments for newbies doesn't drive people away the amount of rules will and yes i know rules are needed to keep things balanced but we dont need a dictatorship do we?

its ironic that no newbies can post to defend thier right to play. so not to muchcan be read into the opinions on this forum, but its important newbies play in tourneys otherwise itl just be the same few players dominating the game which would discourage ppl from playing. i for one wouldnt hav botherd geting to 100 games if i couldnt hav played in tourneys.
iv noticed alot of sectairianism on this site which is bad for evryone as it just causes animosity, this is only going to get worse with this premium membership rubish, its jsut going to cause snobery argument and ppl getting fed up and leaving which benifit no one
