Love

One word that can change a persons day,
And make them feel so great.
A word that touches the heart in a certain way,
Even if its told from a mother, partner or mate.

I have felt love myself only one time,
And i felt over the moon way back then.
But now deep in my heart hold scars of mine,
Always staying there for long, harming us men.

Now i fear it shall happen once more,
That love will rebound and cause pain.
That another girl will break my heart at the front door,
And make me feel like i was the one to blame.

I envy people in love, for i am without,
Watching them walk hands entwined.
Even if they are old or just a couple of louts,
A patter of envy goes on in my mind...

I still think of the love i used to have in my heart,
I am mad at the girl for this thing.
I knew it was love for her right from the start,

But i hope you live so and live on.
I hope your partner loves you in the same way,
And the time or your lives does always prolong.

If theres one thing i love,
It has to be a brew
Not to weak but not to strong
It has to have taste and be true

But the soggy teabag tends to drip
All over the floor when i head to the bin
Even if i drain it fully it still drips
It seems that i can't win

I love to have a biccy with my tea
A gingernut or a shortbread
Anything but a rich tea
As soon as you dip them they are dead

I drink it in one big gulp
A big mug of tea and a book
Show me something better than that
And i will gladly take a look
