Few more days and Ste will be Back
He'll stop this thread going slack
He do some poems and some rhymes
It will be just like old times
I'll leave him a title and then wait
Few mins later appears a poem so great
How he does them i just dont know
But i love them he knows that so
Been on this thread over a year
Ste and his poems i hold so dear
He once told me he'd always stay
Doing his thing to make my day
Im hoping them words were really true
And he keeps doing poems for me and you.

Laughter

The gift of Laughter, is a most wonderful thing
It gives people a lift, when they are missing something
It can come in the form of a poem, or joke
It even makes hippies laugh, when they are having a smoke

The thing about laughter, it makes people smile
Which we all need to do, once in a while
The look upon faces, of people who laugh
Brings joy to us all, even mods and admin staff

But take away laughter, there's only sorrow and pain
One thing I never want to go through again
So keep up the laughing, on this wonderful site
And if you feel like giggling, don?t even put up a fight

But the reason I'm here, is because of this title
Someone has asked me to compose this recital
Someone so special, who's laughter comes via a gift
Paula my darling, your laughter gives me a lift.

Now then, a very strange subject, this topic of spiders
Some people confront them. Some others are hiders
They just crawl about, in the dead of night
I?m sure they just do it, to give people a fright

With their beady eight eyes, and their spindly legs
What are they after, the question just begs
Maybe it is to hide in some teenagers kickers
Or stick it's legs out of some poor girls knickers

But whatever their aim, they are still quite scary
Even to a girl on here, called Scary Mary
I hate them as well, right to my last breath
But today this subject, has nearly laughed me to death

Sunday Morning

It's a Lazy Sunday Morning
As I sit and eat breakfast
I write this poem 'cause I'm bored
And need something the time to pass

It's starting to get sunny
As I write these words for you
But earlier it was raining
And still it's chilly too

But I don't need to worry
For I am safe and warm
On this Sunday Morning
As I write this from my home

When will people log in
On funkypool, so we can laugh and chat
'Til then I'll have to wait,
Write a poem and stroke my cat

SHEEP ~ SWORD ~ COBWEBS

Sometimes when you find it quite hard to sleep
It's recommended, you try and count SHEEP
But its really quite hard, when you're living in Wales
Especially after you had a few Ales.

You come out of the pub, late at night
Thinking you're brave, and wanting a fight
You get shoved into the street, by the landlord
As you think your a Knight wielding his SWORD

But for all it's faults, this country of mine
Is really quite pretty, this land so devine
As i look out to sea, the tide as it ebbs
I think of my Paula, and her bloody COBWEBS

Friends are the people, who really care
And its really just great, to know they are there

You can count on a friend, be it female or male
Be it online, chat room, or even e-mail
They will always be there, when you need them most
As you can see from this site, you just have to post

And while on the subject, 2 friends i love most
The two people here, that got me to first post
Paula & Steph, your a special type of friend
Friends i hope, right through to the end

Good friends are trustworthy, and hard to find
And im typing these words, with 2 people in mind
Ive mentioned them once, they know who they are
They are 2 special people, the best friends by far.
