Relaxing

So on the beach I sit on my chair,
The smell of the sea and a breeze in my hair.
The sand all crushed beneath my feet,
Sweat on my brow from the blissful heat.
With beer in hand I open the book,
Raise up my eyes and take a quick look -
At the girl in the bikini just gone past,
Life on the beach is such a blast.
Sunglasses on, all chilled out today,
The waves crash on the rocks and produce a spray.
Ice cold beer, and a sandwich close at hand,
I watch people arrive and chill out on the sand.
The sun still beams and the sky's so clear,
The hiss of the can as I open my beer.
Surfers far out riding the surface of the sea,
But there's one obsession that's just for me.
It so damn easy, and hardly taxing,
Today I'm on the beach - and I'm just relaxing.

Boxer shorts sit in my very top drawer,
And a few of them I've never worn before.
Calvin Klein, Levi's and Pringle too,
Grey, White, Black and even some Blue.
Then there's the loners right at the back,
A little too small or maybe too slack!
My favourites sit at the top of the pile,
Below are the ones I haven't worn for a while.
But once in a while the low ones get a chance,
As i realise my best are in the washer at a glance.
So I pick up the best pair, oh god what a sight!
Its a good job they're only on for tonight.
A button could be missing, or they could be too small,
Riding too far up they're driving me up the wall!
Its too much to take, they've been good sports,
But now its time to whip on football shorts.
These are much better, at least I can breathe,
But nothing beats the Calvins - well thats what I believe.

MY WEEK

Well I'd like to say, what an interesting week that's just gone
A week of intrigue, gossip, misunderstandings and goings on
Seems to have blown over now, people have had some words
At least it didn't come to the crossing of swords

I've felt the feelings of Hurt, Relief, Passion and Pain
I hope I never have to go through that lot again
I've found some true friends, I won't name who they are
But I love them to death, but just from afar

The troubles now over and , my true love is now back,
Maybe we can all get our lives, back on right track
Just wish we could all get on, on this great pool website
But you will always find one, who is just full of spite

I'm ending this poem, WITHOUT pointing a finger
I just hope that what I'm saying, will make people linger
I Love everyone on here, especially a chosen few
If I can make the effort, then so can the rest of you.
