its the advert iv got the 32mb game memory but its stil slow as a sedated pensioner

I've removed the ads for the timebeing until I can fix the problem.

I only played 1 game yesterday and me and opponent did a half a dozen fouls each, it was severe and impossible to play with. Hope you repair it soon I have a cash tourney later :-)

Have i been missing something? The ads have always slowed the game like this, and sometimes make it hang. I've had this since the old poolsharks days! (and yes, beefy comp, latest java and plenty of memory have never made a difference)

Spinner, this can depend on Java version as well as PC. Try reading the tips on improving game play (in above thread).

If you are using XP Microsoft version 1.1.4 works fine.

Tread, the adverts don't appear in the game window any more. If it affects your game then close background funkypool windows.

Yes, i just did that and the table is running like a dream again.

There is no doubting that the advertisements look good on the gamescreen, just hope you find a way to remedy things to your liking Nick.

I've always found the ads interrupted gameplay, whether on the main comp(XP-FF), the kids one(W98-IE), or on the 10Meg connection here at work(W2000-IE).

I wouldnt worry about it Nick, its gives people a reason to sign up for the premium version (which i kinda assume would be ad-free)
