I've noticed that the new advertisements seem to be making my game run slower.
Does anybody have any tips that might fix this issue for me?
Thanks for your help.

This is Nick's, helped me out and alot of people I know:
Increase game memory
If you increase the game memory you should allow the game to run smoother, including preventing lags.
This only applies to people using Java 1.3 or later. To check your Java version click options on the main game window.
1) Open up your control panel
2) Open your Java control (if you don't see a Java control here this means you do not have Java 1.3 or later installed correctly)
3) For v1.3 or v1.4, find Java Runtime Parameters. For v1.5, click Java tab, click view, click Java Applet Runtime, and edit the Java Runtime Parameters.
4) Enter this string to increase memory:
-Xms32m -Xmx128m
5) Select OK to confirm the dialogs.
(32m represents 32Mb initial memory, 128m represents 128Mb maximum memory)
32Mb should be sufficient, but feel free to optimize this number for your machine.

http://www.java.com
There are many different versions available to download for free there, just download the one that suits you most. Follow instructions on above post for better gameplay and/or follow instructions on java site. Any problems in doing so post here and I shall help as it confused me to hell when I tried to do it lol.

Glad some people think so. I can be mouthy I admit but the people who I do kick off at tend to deserve it....

I did that fix a while ago ediss, this seems to have started today for me.
I might uninstall the java and reinstall, but i don't think it will make a difference as other users are getting the same thing happen today as well.
I might just sweat this 1 out.....
Thanks for the advice ediss.

No problem mate, still trying to figure it out though. Gimme half hour and I'll crack it like a egg :)

ok Ediss, half an hour is up :)
I noticed that if i enter as a guest and the 'make poverty history' banner is displayed, there seems to be no problem with the game at all.
I have tried everything now. I even uninstalled the flash player thinking it might help.
Hope it comes together soon as it's hard to judge the power of a shot, this being a fundamental issue in playing a good game of pool.
