Football is the worlds most popular sport, mainly as its end to end and anyone can beat anyone. Football just seems to appeal more to most (especially the english public). However Don't get me wrong I like alot of sports. Cricket and rugby I follow when I can. I've like footy from a young age though and am a die hard Scunthorpe Utd supporter! Come on scunny! Peter beagrie is actually my personal messiah....:)

ashes converted me to cricket never watched a full test or match since then very enjoyable series.
Rugby union has to be the best in my book real men playin a real game unlike these winging overrated overpayed football players who fall over and winge when another player runs by and knocks them over with there draft lol. Pansies the lot of them, see what happens when a 17 stone flanker runs at you lol.

But fav sport is Moto GP

and got to meet some of the worlds best players after wards as only 70 people turned up, you dont get that at the football

You do get that at football, but only in the lower leagues.

If you go down to non league you can watch the games while drinking, chatting to opponent fans, and there is never any football related trouble.

Problem is Premiership is much more visible than lower leagus and overcommercialised nonsense, the teams have fans, as opposed to supporters. And it's all about the money.

Regarding being more visible, here is what I mean. About 4 years ago Pompey suffered a really bad defeat, 4-1 at home to Leyton Orient, 2 divs lower. Went into work the next day and I can't remember it being mentioned. 2 years later we lost 3-0 away to Man United, and I got lots of banter from people who weren't even Man United fans.

Ah well, rant over!

I agree..........i would rather go and watch my local football club (if i wanted too see a live footy match)than see a premiership match, Theres a less tense atmosphere i would imagine.

You are closer to the 'action' and its only 5 mins walk from home too lol

At least in football the players might get involved in a scrap! I quite like football matches that start out as games but beocme brawls.
