Yes, I probably agree with you there. The quieter times there are less on, and less moderator's on if any.

However soz is one of our best late night moderator's, and is currently not on very much due to other commitments.

after skimming this thread, the idea of nick making five nominations and the users voting is a better idea than the users giving 5 and the mods deciding

both sides would have to agree to choose at least one of the nominees, otherwise it wouldnt work. so therefore the best mod for the team would come from nick making the nominations, as then all five candidates would be suitable. the users could force a "peoples people" vote the other way round

Just a couple of things I would like to say -

I have currently been able to get on between the hours of 2am and 9am bst. Unfortunately that is missing the after hours tournament, but I'm trying my best to be on as much as possible. School signups is going on, and I have to get that organized.

On the current mod topic -

I for one take action when I see spamming/swearing and so on. The main chat is very hard to control, but the members bar is kept under control. Whenever I am on, I try to visit the chat room first, and take care of anything I see wrong. Just wanted to basically say, we are doing our best. Sometimes it's just not possible to see everything ;-)

On the new mod topic -

Unfortunately, we don't want candidates to know they are candidates. If we gave that information out ahead of time, then they would make sure to behave.

We watch peoples everyday habits/bahaviors. So giving out a list of 5 would let the 4 who didn't become mod know that they need to be careful with their behavior.

Just my thoughts...

o good god, i only just read this, this is the way i see it basically.

There are many users on this site who use this site regulary and enjoy it who wish to become mod, but please remember, its just an internet site! Its not going to make your real life suck if you're not mod!

Why not use the nick forwarding 5 and users choosing when new mods are actually needed?

being mod is cool, makes you feel you're a respected member of the site, but whoever they pick, some people wont be happy, people will never be happy with the whole team.

So my advice, stop moaning and go play some pool!

aye but mods/admins get a lot of abuse every day they are on, some people will get mad and start p'in aroind messing up mod forums ect i think the mods are ok now im happy=-)

I would say that the current crew are capable. Although it's my opinion that there should always be a mod on the site and visable in the chat rooms. Don't get me wrong, it's difficult, I understand that. A few more won't harm.

Lol, you shouldnt be makin threads like this anyway, the admins eventually decide the next on the funkypool team.

Your right, People will either vote for the best players or their freinds.We need paople who are respected and resposible.
