With a cheeky grin and a glint in his eye
He's saying he has a settle to score
As he posts his poems galore!

I promised Id keep this thread alive
Although i admit, it far from thrives
But a girl can do nothing but try
To entice posts from people who are shy

So, tell me how do i know its you
Unless you answer a question or two
You see, for me this is a must
Cos on this site its hard to trust

If its you im sure youll answer correct

I'm up against the ropes again, in literary terms,
My heads above the parapet, where I have to sit and squirm
Whilst questions may be thrown at me, as many times before,
I'm shall not say your paranoid, or even insecure.

It's appreciated you take care, when chatting here online,
It stings a bit to have to prove myself to an old friend of mine.
But so be it - I'll do my best, although it's been a while,
Throw your questions at me and I'll answer with a smile.

But wait just a second please, before I speak the truth,
Your poems have gotten better Paula, maybe it isn't you?
You can never be sure you see, you're a very private lass,
How do I know it's you as well? Coming in with all that sass!

I wouldn't gain much advantage, pretending to be me,
It wouldn't give me any satisfaction if you see.
It also wouldn't be funny, and here's the point my dear -
If i was trying to wind you up, who for? There's no one here!

So please log back here soon, I'll reply to you alone,
Apologies if this poem has a self-defensive tone.

Don't be so silly, your within your rights!
Who know who logs onto funkypool, throughout the night.

Fake accounts here, fake accounts there,
One day they're balding, the next day with hair!

You have to be sure, and avoid all danger,
Chatting online to a handful of strangers.

Keyboard warriors, sat at their mums,
Eating Dorito's and scratching their bums!

Picking their noses, sipping their pop,
There is no limit to when they will stop.

So i fully appreciate myself having to prove,
That I was once somebody that you really knew.

And so here I am, right here in the flesh!
I knew deep down really that there may be a test.

But as you can see, I put up that pic,
So you could see that I'm still looking slick ()

In fact that's an old one, a couple of years ago,
I took a short trip across the pond to Oslo.

So glad to be back, and speak to you again,

Tired

Eyes stinging red, vision is blurred,
Strange noises in the night that I've never heard.

Sleep won't arrive, the baby's gone off,
The pillow suddenly feels rock hard and not soft.

Again she start's wailing, teething we suspect,
It goes on through the night until we're all pretty wrecked.

Up again, 3.30, she's not going to sleep,
She sits in my arms and continues to weep.

We sit through the morning until the sun starts to rise,
She's been asleep and woken and now itches her eyes.

The wife's asleep upstairs, I best jump in the shower,
I have to get ready, watch the kid and get to the office in an hour!

Just three hours sleep banked, I make my way into work,
Responsibilities and duties I simply can't shirk.

Now it's time for a breather, five minutes to write,
Before I log off and make my way home for the night.

Once there I'll see my baby, early night due for her,
Fingers crossed it goes by without causing a stir.

Its been a while since I last posted,
A lot has changed I have noticed.

The forums are quieter than they have ever been,
Theres no one around, nowhere to be seen.

But hold on a minute whats that I see,
Some old friends of mine, will they remember me?

A few massages later, after passing their tests,
They realise its me, the real Miss Steph.

So glad to be back, its been so long,
It wont happen again cause it just felt wrong!

Hello Steph! So glad to see you here.

Isn't it strange, that at the same time,
I'm reunited with old friends of mine.

Could it be coincidence, karma or luck,
That out of our daily lives we were all plucked.

And returned to the forums, all here at last,
Friends that would chat here all night in the past.

First it was Paula, still keeping her lit,
Then Pete and Hippes, at their laptops they sit.

Now here is our Steph, after all these years,
What she's been up to I have no idea.

Maybe its a conspiracy, it's not really them!
How is it that the creme de la creme

Of all the people I knew here, are returned together,
If it's a trick you won't get me, for I'm far too clever.

A kind of sleuth I am, Sherlock to the Holmes,
Something's not right here - I feel it in my bones.

Of course I'm just joking, I'm not tempting fate,
We're all back together and it feels bloody great!
