No it wasn't. I saw a message from him and a couple from Ash later that night when I got home from work (new messages don't often show for a long while if I'm logged in on my phone) so had no idea he'd even made an appearance. It would have been irrelevant anyway since I didn't get home until 10.30+ which had surpassed his 30 minute window.

Me 6-1 Ray (runout for me in 9 Ball)

US: I let the first slip as i went for light cannon and planted his ball, 2nd frame i got a 6 baller with some positional shots.

9: Was 2 down in the overall fixture so i wanted to grind his break and runout on mine which is what happened here, i fluked a pot but didn't change things as he was outclassed.

UK: so one up with two to play, he got unlucky again in the first and was his break so two up with one point remaining and took the last in style.

I played very well and the -2 Frame Difference helped me focus on the task at hand and i had to perform well to beat Phoenix by a large margin. Was helped as Ray was off form but two 6-1s back to back for myself.

those two attributes helped focus my mind and i have the ability to think of the total score as i'm playing and what i need to do also needed to be mistake free.

If we was ahead i may have played well but wouldn't be as focused as could afford to lose a frame.

Well you did great. Having dry breaks doesn't give or take anything from a match, if you pot on the break you still have to work hard to clear and if you don't pot on the break your opponent still has to work hard to clear. Both you and Ray are more than capable of both from either angle.

cheers, i played better vs Ray than i did vs Keith really as rather than feeding off Keiths mistakes i made the most of each chance (tough or easy).

one of my highlights was 7-8 on 9 ball, 7 was top of table and natural angle would make the 8 tough as possible self snook from the 9 so i went round the other side and landed nicely on the 8.

I'd be more than happy if my opponents pot off every break cause 9 times out of 10 you'll get another chance, the less balls on the table the easier it is to clear....

Although It is a bit annoying never been able to pot off the break, but I got used to that a while ago
