Sorry guys, I did enough for the win but the funkygods were not with me.

Took the first with a nice clearance, second I potted 4 before missing and huts just tapped up balls so I positioned mine into a clearable position while he tried to snooker me. I think he realised he wasn't going to snooker me he potted one of my balls covering a pocket to leave things tricky for me and I risked giving him a chance on the clearance in setting the table back up for me. He missed halfway through but left me snookered. Managed the pot from a hard angle but I couldn't control the white and I potted his ball and the white as well as my ball to leave an easy clearance.

9us, first frame we traded a fluked snooker each before I cleared up well. Then second frame he went for the 9 once or twice from an unlikely position and then he fluked another safety which gave me no chance to get out. With another combo effort on the cards and the 9 near the pocket I had to take it out and he cleared. Again, couldn't do anything about the fluke here.

8uk, I potted and left the yellows on a clearance but no pot. He took the first yellow but his second shot ruined the runout position and he backed off straight away. Eventually I had a chance to snooker him with a tricky clearance on for me and I backed myself and the attacking play when in hindsight I should've tapped up and took the carry. Couldn't get the position on my last two balls and he took it to take the overall win. Next frame he broke and in frustration I just went for an aggressive clear up and got it after potting both colours in my first shot to cost me a 7 baller.

Disappointed that I played better than him but that's the SL, ruthless. His style is a very frustrating to play for a positive attacking played like myself but it was effective enough to win. I should've won both US types but nothing I could do to get out of the fluked safeties.

Playing well but I needed to be flawless to take the win, sorry guys!

In the first frame or two it was scrappy at times with neither of us getting anything great for clears but both had unlucky moments and went for things from the start a lot but he didn't finish on his chances so i was 2-0 up. In the next though he broke dry, i cleared somehow up to black very well only to miss it simply to top middle and he took it. In the next 2 i had one or two good clears to win after he went for it early on when it looked tough and didn't get it so was mine. Then in the next i decided to go for the run out but with 3 yellows left was snookered and then gave him carry and he cleared. In the last i had a tough ish clear on after he messed up going for the run out but a last red where i used the right spin and power got the white to go to the right side of table and back to left side to be set up well for black double and i got it well. Overall neither at our best but enjoyed it! ggs mate ul!
