Tried Java 8 Update 31? Had no issues except when browsers wasn't compatible. Opera and Chrome no longer work with Java.

older operas will m8 like v27. jst need to prevent it from updating by adding ( --disable-update) (with the space before it) on the command line as looks like this..

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Opera\launcher.exe" --disable-update

(right clik properties) of whatever icon ya start opera with. Wont let automatic updates be turned off in browser.

Also make sure its not default browser as any links will activate it to update.

Im on the latest java and have very few issues. The occasional tournament freeze but other than that smooth as silk.
