How about a contribute button like charities? then guys can donate more if they wish, if they donate more then that would be supporting the site.
personally i wouldn't do it as i generally don't pay for things i can play for free

every time you click an advert it generates and income
maybe a 1p a click
5 or 6 cues makes no difference, well don't demand change, don't demand Nick does this or that
this site has overheads, like anything else

Craig the £10 you pay are for the cost of adverts only and not for profit you seem to think it is. It is the same revenue and will continue to say so unless admin correct me. The £10 is to cover the loss of no adverts which is the root cause of a profit.
Ask Youtubers if you don't believe me, the only way nick would lose money is if people blocked the ads without paying, for every member who does that, nick loses money from advert revenue and display them.
Thats why Youtubers ask subscribers NOT to block adverts as they depend on that money to make remixes or other things and nick would be dependant on that money too.

Google pays anyone using Adsense, more guys what visit the page the more money you generate. Thats what Youtube told me. Usually need over 1,000 subscribers though, not sure how it works with funky
If i really wanted to i could use Adsense on Snooker League website and make money from players visiting the site.

Yes understood but far as i know, if you use Google Adsense then Google pays you so much money for having their adverts on your site so if its true, Google does pay nick some money.
Nick's still profiting from this site even now so not sure he will pull the plug, if he does then its been a good ride and made lots of new virtual friends who are real people and then i would move onto League of Angels almost full time a game which people pay tons more money and they don't moan because i don't pay a dime.

Okay, so this is my rough idea of what the tournament schedule should look like. Scrap Micros and keep these only.
The schedule is dedicated to having Speed tournaments before periods of decline (such as the 8am tournament) and also allowing for Marathon tournaments in hot-spot periods (7pm, 9pm, 11pm and 7am).
Schedule also includes random and straight with also arcade choices mixed in there every four or five hours at a half past time slot, which is based on offering choice after speed tournaments may have already finished.

Aaah, I have an idea though! how about we all make successful youtube channels, get loads of subscribers, and then, when they are hanging off our every video, we bang in a funky snooker/pool one, they all won't join, but some might
