Looks like 3 decent clearances, and common sense should tell you that the games were played far 2 quick to be using an aimbot

I'm sure the players you think are cheating would be more than happy to challenge you in 5 sec games, guess there can't be any excuses why you wouldn't play them in 5 secs either?

I agree. I've been called a cheat when playing well, but as you personally know, I'm not always on form. The 5 sec timer filtering out aimers for me extends from my time on the old yahoo pool where aimers werea big problem. I've never played anyone that I thought was cheating. Even when I'm getting destroyed .

5 seconds takes away a huge portion of skill. I might measure up a shot In my mind then when I invisage it on the table I might change what I want to do. 5 second timer you can't adjust. Even on a ten second timer it's sometimes to hard, especially if it's tight wether you can see the ball. 20 seconds has been around for a long long time and hopefully for a long long time to come. Cheaters will be caught but I don't subscribe to thought that there are currently any.

I think it is funny certain folk question the behaviour of others on the table while having little or no scruples of it.

5 sec takes different skills. You have to be able to see what's going to happen and prepare. Spin first then aim. Its a common misconception that it takes less skill and that there is more luck. I think dgen (another 5 sec player) will back me up on this.

That said I have no problem with 20 secs.

dgen might back you up but I'm pretty sure there are a lot more who disagree. The initial point isn't about skill though it's about cheating and as there currently is none then no changes need be made.

I understood it perfectly fine, why people feel the need to point out bad grammar just to make people look bad I don't know, really no need for it.

Trick is to plan your shot before the ball stops rolling. Sometimes i will plan two or three shots ahead in a frame. You have to put Spin on soon as the ball stops then you should have two or three seconds to aim.

For quick players it is easy to do that however it becomes easier to miss as accuracy is lowered and if your late putting on spin, spin is wrong or your lagging then it could be a random shot.

Most of my time on Pool, i like to shoot within 5 seconds so its natural to me (i do uncharacteristic misses though for shooting too quick) but for players who like to take their time, it may not be for them.

Oh, yeah no changes are needed I don't think. Although, a 5 sec competition would be fun.

Tbh if people are cheating to win then they are only discrediting themselves. Since really there is no reward for winning on this game other than personal gratification tthat is lost by cheating.

Ash that whole post there of yours was a waste of time. Please try and bring something of value to these conversations.

And I agree a 5 sec competition would be fun, hint hint, and i'd always be up for playing anybody in 5 sec frames. I take most of my shots after about 3-4 seconds anyways, and i use the arrow keys when doing spin which saves a bit of time i think.

Some of us have really bad sight lol.
So being able to mewsue up a shot in 10 secs is very hard for me, to the point in speed tourneys i sometimes dont use spin lol.

And hey why has no one ever thought i was using an aimbot?

Also I honestly don't think Sean uses one.

Yeah I tried the arrow key thing but since I'm on a trackpad not a mouse it did more harm than good.

There is one way to prove if someone is cheating!!

Have them record their self playing their game at their computer under their name ... Showing no aim bot... If you start breaking records or there is any question of them being a cheat a mod can request the video be sent. All of it can be done privately too. It could be sent to a mod, then the mod could watch the video. Simple answer to a very important situation ...

Wouldn't work mate as why would someone record themself using an aimbot? Whole aimbot thing was purely banter today and not suggesting anyone uses them. Only time it happened, some of the shots they played it was obvious but simple shots is harder to figure out.

Only way it could work is on results if EVERY game got recorded whether you like it or not then if it was used theres no wriggling out of it

I was sent a link of a aim bot from someone. (same 1 pacman saw) And the video showed them using one. it was overlapping the game so no way to hide it... If you recorded yourself playing a few and when you do so obviously you wouldn't/couldn't use one without it being on recording, but would tell if they still played great

Again no one should record anything. We currently have no issues as far as I can tell with anyone cheating. Sean, jack, Harriet, been, etc ALWAYS score big so now that they are still doing it I'm amazed people have just taken note.

If Someone with no previous was to suddenly start winning with scores of 15, 14, 13 against really good players then we can talk but while the best are just being the best I'm just happy to not be on the end of the spankings and that's where my thoughts on it end.

I agree, that no one is cheating .. I honestly did see a video of one though ... Also, would definitely end all the arguments/banter...

I'm Entitled to my opinion, IF I see it could be to the detriment to the site then i will speak about it whether you like it or not.

I happen to think there are cheats as stated before - human error is natural - missing pots, misjudging pace control, poor positioning. Breaking and recording run outs in most frames back to back is not to me being genuine.

Only using some aiming aid - can seriously be a cause for being 'perfect' in EVERY single frame. Sorry don't wash with me - there are cheats and wouldn't be surprised if many are in on it to cover up.

Game's been ruined ever since the aimbot were mentioned now there will always be some cynicism. Well done - Ruined what used to be a Great site.
